If you read the title, you would know something about me already.
In case you didn't figure it out, I'm British! I write in British-English, meaning that to some people (mostly American readers to be honest), would see my spellings of some words as incorrect.
But, if you are a person who can read or at least understand the English language, then you should know there are 2 main parts of English. British-English and American-English.
If you can understand one, you already understand both. But, there are a few differences here and there: such as the infamous 'colour' (British-English) or 'color' (American-English).
The problem is, you have pompous folks from both sides saying to either user of whatever English that the spelling is incorrect. This is so annoying, especially when you recieve these. Like the 'sed' or 'zed' ending words. Take 'neutralised' or 'neutralized' for example.
On my book and in past Private Messages (PMs), I've had people 'correct' my spelling or word choice to an American one, even if I explain that I'm British. It's annoying and tiring.
Honestly, if someone does this on my book even after I correct you, I will either block you or ignore you.
If I genuinely misspell a word, then it's fine. But if it's a dialect issue, you need to learn that the world doesn't revolve around your English.
