*Garroth's POV*

"Garroth..."

My head shot up, at the mention of my name. Laurance had a face painted red, and he was biting down hard on his lip. I tilted my head to the side, giving him a questioning look. He hesitantly took my hand, an awkward silence looming about us.

"What is it?" I replied.

"...Nice weather we're having, huh?" He nervously laughed.

I see what he's trying to do...

"Laurance...whatever you want to ask, just do it. Please..."

Laurance looked me over, somewhat dazed. He appeared, as if a thousand thoughts were racing across his mind. My heart was pounding out of my chest, as he silently gestured me to stand.

I obliged, taking in a small breath. Laurance stood up, taking my other hand in his. We both stood there, gazing into each other's eyes. The only sounds I could hear at that moment, was my loud heartbeat, and the sound of the water hitting against the edge of the pond. Everything else...was silent. That was, until he finally spoke.

"Since we have fallen in love, you have always been on my mind..."

"You as well."

"Since we have fall in love, I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

"As do I."

"Since we have fallen in love, I wanted to ask you something..."

"What is it? You can ask me anything."

"Do you remember our first kiss?"

"Yes..."

"And the first time we confessed?"

"Yes..."

"And the first time we said 'I love you'?"

"Yes..."

"And our first date?"

"Yes..."

"How about the first time we-"

"Where are you going with this, Laurance..?"

"I want to ask you something, very personal. But, I'm not sure what your answer's going to be."

"Just ask..."

"...Garroth... Will you marry me..?"

"..."

Laurance let go of one of my hands. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a small box. He opened it, to reveal a beautiful, shiny engagement ring. I glanced it over, before staring back up at Laurance's eyes.

And, I stayed silent.

Just say yes, Garroth! This is what you have been waiting for!

Then, why can't I just say it..?

*Laurance's POV*

"...Garroth... Will you marry me..?"

Oh my Irene! I actually said it! I'm freaking out right now!

"..."

I let go of one of Garroth's hands, fishing into my pocket. I grabbed the keepsake I always held close to me, taking in a shaky breath. I revealed the engagement ring, that I had bought so long ago.

Garroth's eyes scanned it over, slight tears forming in them. He looked up at me, not making a single sound. We stared into each other's, different shades of blue, eyes- the world that surrounded us, quiet.

"You don't have to say yes...if you aren't ready..," I reassured him, giving a tiny, heart-warming smile. "...I-I just thought I-I'd ask... I'm s-sorry..."

Garroth shook his head, laughing a little. I cocked my head to the side a little, raising an eyebrow. He smiled at me, throwing his arms around the back of my neck. The next thing I know, I'm being pulled into a kiss.

I kissed him back instantly, feeling the sparks that happened during our real, first kiss. Memories replayed in my mind, of that very night. The night, that I knew...we were going to fall in love. I smiled through are kiss. And, even though he spoke no words- I knew what his answer was.

He pulled away from me, giggling. Garroth held out his hand to me, smiling adorably. I took that as a sign- and did the one thing I've wanted to do for so long. I slipped the ring onto his finger, and threw the box back into my pocket. Garroth's cheeks were painted pink, and a large smile now was on his face.

"I love you, Garroth..," I said aloud, draping my arms around his lower back.

"I love you too, Laurance..."

Congrats, you actually did it!

I can't believe Aphmau's advice actually worked.

I'm sure he would've said yes, no matter what, though. He obviously loves you, a Hell of a lot.

Yeah... But, not following through with clichés, probably helped satisfy his answer.

Maybe...

Well, our work here is done.

What are you talking about? We're Laurance's consciences! We can't just leave.

I'm out. I'm done with all these romance clichés.

This entire story is full of romance clichés!

Everybody needs to stop breaking the fourth wall! We've had to repair it, so many times!

Whatever, just go... I'll handle things from here.

Thank you.

Shut up, already.

"L-Laurance..? Are you okay..?" Garroth asked, concerned.

I shook my head from the thoughts, chuckling a little. I kissed Garroth's forehead, smiling down at him.

"Sorry, Love, I'm just...overwhelmed. I didn't expect you...to say yes."

"To be honest, I never actually said yes," Garroth giggled.

"You just did!" I teased, lightly pecking a kiss on his lips.

"Shut up, ya dork."

"Can you say it? Only if you want, though. It'll make me feel at ease."

"It."

"Garroth!" I laughed.

"Fine, fine!" Garroth laughed alongside me. "...Yes. I will marry you, Laurance."
