Chapter 28: An Odd Visit

*Laurance's POV*
~The Next Day~

"Tonight, can I come back to our room? I missed you," I pouted, looking down at my fiancé. He rolled his eyes, shaking his head.

"Did you finish your one job? Because, until then, you're staying here," Garroth gestured to the couch, we were standing by.

I sighed, crossing my arms. "Yes, I did, Love. I was up most of the night."

"How much sleep did you get?" Garroth looked up at me, genuinely concerned.

I gave him a reassuring smile, and a small kiss atop his forehead. "I dunno. A decent amount, I suppose."

"That's good," he giggled a little, before setting. Garroth then suddenly, wrapped his arms around me tightly.

I ran my fingers through Garroth's blonde hair, as he laid his head on my chest. It was funny, how fast the mood could change, between us. A moment of laughter and teasing, could instantly turn somber, or vice versa. I don't kniw what thay says about us.

"Can I have my hoodie back?" I smiled, kissing his head again. "Or are you actually going to keep it?"

Garroth hummed in thought for a moment, before pulling away from me. He gave a small nod, before pulling it up over his head. I quickly grabbed it from his grasp, turning around, so I didn't have to face him. He just lives to torture me, with his natural hotness, eh? Is that his goal?

"What's the matter, Laurance~?" I could just hear the smirk he had on.

"Y-Your clothes are in your dresser. I put them away, while you were asleep... You c-can go change...i-if you want to..," I fake-coughed, feeling a blush on my face.

"What was that? A faint...stutter? Did I hear Mr. Confident stutter? Has the world turned upside down?" Garroth giggled, shuffling behind me. Only Irene knows, where he was going with this. "That is just...too precious, Laurance. Absolutely adorable!"

"Yes, yes. I get it, I gotcha," I played with my thumbs, looking up at the ceiling. "Are you still here?"

"Yup."

"You're doing this to mess with me... Aren't you?"

"Yup. Not gonna move, 'til you give me a kiss."

Now I see what he's trying to pull here...

"Garroth, sweetheart," I shifted my gaze, to look down at the floor. "Why do you have to have such an amazing body? Like, seriously..."

"And why can't you see past that?" Garroth shuffled a bit more, huffing quietly.

At this point, I had turned around to face my fiancé. He had his arms crossed, and he narrowed his eyes at me. And, I managed to somehow keep eye contact, through all of this... I rose an eyebrow at him, crossing my arms again.

"Huh? What are you getting at?" I continued to stare at him.

"Hm...nothing. Well, I'm going to go change. Be back in a minute." Right as he was about to head upstairs, a knock came from the door. "You get it!"

"Whatever!" I rolled my eyes, chuckling to myself.

I made my way over to the front door. Opening it up, revealed two people to be on the other side. Dante and Vylad... Oh dear... I'm getting a strange sense of déjà vu here...

"Guys? What are you two doing here?"

"Laurance...we have something serious, that we must tell you... We can't keep it to ourselves, anymore... It's serious."

Oh, no...
