*Laurance's POV*
~10 Days Later~

So, let me get you guys all caught up on what happened- these last ten days...

I invited my parents and Cadenza to come over. Yay... Sarcasm, again. It's not like I'm not excited to see my family, it's just... I dunno. It's still my family, and this has to deal with my engagement to my boyfriend. I can already picture their reactions.

But, too late to back out now. Because, yippie! They are right outside the door.

"Your turn to answer it~" Garroth sang, from the couch.

I rolled my eyes, knowing full well it was my turn. I shook my head, getting up from the comfort of my chair, answering the door. My parents stood in the doorway, with my sister- Cadenza- standing in front of them.

"Hey, guys! Glad to see you! Come on in, please!" I greeted them, gesturing them inside.

My parents said their hellos, coming inside. Cadenza stood there for a moment, her eyes scanning me over. I rose an eyebrow, putting my hand on my hip.

"What that's look for?" She asked, crossing her arms.

"What's with your attitude?" I remarked.

Cadenza smirked, chuckling slightly. She looked around, before leaning closer to me.

"So, how long has it been?" She whispered, giggling.

What is she talking about?

"Huh?" I replied, genuinely confused by the question she was asking.

"Since you've guys been engaged~?" Cadenza quietly sang into my ear, followed by more fan-girlish giggles.

Heat had instantaneously rose up to my face. How had she figured it out?! I didn't tell her! Garroth sure as Hell didn't tell her! I'm sure Aphmau didn't, either.

"W-what are you t-talking about?!"

"You know~" Cadenza chirped, poking my cheek.

She skipped off, going over to our parents. I stood there in awkward confusion for a minute, before Garroth had pulled me over to where my parents were. I snapped out of my daze, putting on a semi-forced smile.

"So, Laurance, what'd you call us here for- this time?" My dad smirked, looking in between Garroth and I.

Garroth looked up at me, smiling softly and blushing a little. I gave him a small nod, and he nodded to me back. Taking in a breath, I grabbed Garroth's hand. Lifting it up, I could see my mom and sisters' eyes light up. My dad chuckled a little, his smirk fading into a smile.

"Mom, Dad, Cadenza...we're engaged," I proudly said, squeezing Garroth's hand.

Cadenza squealed, clapping her hands together. "I knew it! Totally called it!"

"Finally! Yes! Oh, Laurance, we're so proud of you!" My mom exclaimed, giving me a motherly peck on the cheek.

"About time, boys. Kept us waiting for so long," Dad laughed some more.

Garroth's blush darkened, and he shyly held his hands together. Cadenza gave Garroth a hug first, before giving me one. I only hugged her back, because our parents were right there. Any other day, I would have been too grossed out.

"Thanks guys..," my smile turned real, remembering how supportive my parents are.

I'm lucky to have them...

*Garroth's POV*
~1 Week Later~

So...last week Laurance's parents came over for a visit. It was fun, I guess.

During this past week, we told my brothers. It was the usual congratulations, and small talk. Also, Vylad kept prodding me about it. But, that's Vylad for you.

But, now, it's my parents turn. This was the one I was most nervous about... I hope it goes well...

Last time we told them something like this, there was kind of a big dilemma...but, it all worked out in the end. So, let's hope this time, it ends just the same. Peace, with no more problems- if any- following.

"GarGar! It's wonderful to see you, baby!" Mom greeted me, kissing both my cheeks.

I smiled at her, instinctively giving her a hug. "Hi, Mommy! It's great to see you, too!"

"Garroth, son, it's been a while." I saw my father, who was behind my mom, give me a small nod.

I took in a breath, letting go of my mom. She looked around, spotting Laurance. She called his name, running over to give him a hug. I was face-to-face with my dad, who was looking me up and down.

I nervously clasped my hands together, in an attempt to hide the engagement ring. I don't think he saw it, but nonetheless, he rose an eyebrow at me.

"H-hey, D-Dad," I stuttered, nervously chuckling.

Damn it, Garroth! Can you be anymore obvious!

"So, Garroth, what is it you wanted to talk about?" My dad questioned, folding his arms.

Quick! He's onto us! Book it!

We can't just ditch Laurance.

Take him, too! We just need to get out of here.

Stop acting like a child and just man up.

"I-I'll get to that...D-Dad..."

Why are you so nervous? You know he accepts you guys being together. Laurance also said he gave him, his blessing! So, he obviously doesn't mind you two getting married!

Yeah, but...the downfall hasn't happened, yet.

How are you so sure there is going to be a downfall?

Because, there always is...

But, at least we always come out of it fine!

We can't predict the future...

A/N- I'm gonna try to get another chapter up today. But, due to internet complications- it might not happen. I'll try my best, though. And if it doesn't, then ABSOLUTELY there will be two chapters tomorrow. School's cancelled, and all of the stuff that has kept me busy is over. 😊

But, stay tuned for the next chapter. I'm making a couple of special announcements there.

Seeya, guys! 😊💜
