Chapter 5

"Shawn?" I ask amazed. He turns around. "But what? You were sleeping?" He runs to me and gives me a hug. "I love you so much Lisa, so much." I am used to this, he always says this to me but I know there is something wrong.

"Hey look at me." He still looks down at the ground. I lift with my finger his chin up. He has cried again. It breaks my heart to see him crying, I hate it to see him like that. "Shawn you're always welcome here" and I rub over his back.

He lifts me up and heads to my room. He let's go of me in my bed. Shawn lays above me. His head is on my chest. "What happened Shawn? Trust me please." He starts to cry harder. "Sst honey, I'm here." I give him a kiss on his forhead. He wipes his own tears away and then he stands up.

"My mother has spoken to a family for adopting me, she said I'm not nice enough, not smart enough and that I'm not worth it, so I heard her talking to your mom because my mom always listens to your mom. Lisa, your mom is the only reason I'm still here" he says really quiet. I have tears in my eyes and I can't help it, I'm crying.

Tears are rolling over my cheeks. This time Shawn is comforting me. "Sst babe" he rubs over my back. "I-i can't lose you! My life would be miserable!" He smiles and cries at the same time. "You would never lose me darling, I promise you that" and he gives me a kiss on my forhead.

Shawn's words keep repeating themselves in my head 'your mom is the only reason I'm still here.' Why does Shawn's mother hate him so much? She doesn't see how kind and beautiful he is. I know she was going through a hard period but it was 8 years ago, she has to move on.

It's 5 pm at the moment and Shawn is back to sleep and I'm still awake. Shawn and I have to go on a vacation. We have a caben in the woods and there is a lake, perfect place for us. And beside, we have a week vacation.

I lay my hands on Shawn's stomach and lay with my head on his chest. When he feels me he immediately puts his arms tight around me, it gives me a safe feeling. "Goodnight honey" he says sleepy. I nod and close my eyes. Listening to Shawn's heartbeat and eventually I fall a sleep.

"Lisa!" Shawn hits me with a pillow. I startle awake. I scream. "What?!" "Fire?!" I scream again. Shawn laughs. "No silly, I have made breakfast so are you coming?" "Nooo" and I turn around.

He heads to me and takes a seat right next to me on my bed. "Please" and he is going through my hair. "I'm so tired, I have slept for 3,5 hour Shawn." He nods. "I know but breakfast is important too, so come!" I don't give him an answer. "If you don't come, I will lift you up and then you have no choice." "Fine, lift me then" I give him a wink.

He shrugs and lifts me up. "Shawn! I laugh. He heads to downstairs and let's go of me on the couch. "Stay." "Ehm I'm not a dog?" He smiles. "I know, you're a kitten" he winks. A kitten as a bitch, you know? Okay never mind.

I look at my phone and scroll through some Instagram pictures. Shawn is a 'famous' person on Instagram. But he is also a populair kid at school. He hangs out with the most populair girls/boys and he has me as best friend, crazy right?!

"And vola!" He gives me my breakfast. It's muesli with a cup of tea. "Thanks honey." We eat in silence our breakfast, it isn't a bad one because we have a lot of eye contact.

"What are we going to do today?" he asks. I shrug. "Watching movies? It's a rainy day." He gets a huge smile on his face. "I like that idea."

I grab something to drink and a lot of food and head to my room. Shawn is already in my bed choosing which movie he wants to watch. Yes, I told him he could choose. I smile at him and then my phone rings.

Brandon.

I accept the call. "Euh hello?" I say. "Hey Lisa! Brandon here! I don't know if you're with Shawn right now but I thought maybe we can meet each other at the park tonight?" "Tonight?" I ask. "I mean 6 pm." I hear him quietly laughing. What am I supposed to say? Yes? No? I don't even know him that well! Well, I have a crush on him since first grade. So maybe a date isn't that bad. "Sure, see you there." "Okay, bye!" "Bye" and I hang up the phone.

"Who was that?" Shawn asks. "Brandon, I say." "What? Brandon as my friend Brandon?" I nod. He looks amazed. "Wow ehh, be careful with him okay? He has broken many hearts." "Just like you" I give him a wink. "Only 7" he shrugs. I roll my eyes and head to Shawn.

He opens his arms for me and I lay my head on his chest. "What's the time you have to be there?" "6 pm." He nods. "Time enough for us to watch this movie and to cuddle" he says. I get a happy feeling in my body.

We watched a romantic movie and I'm crying, the ending was so sad. She died and he couldn't live without her so he committed suicide. Shawn is going through my hair.

"Hey, it's just a movie, don't be sad babe" he gives a kiss on my forhead. He holds my tighter and before I know we are looking in each other eyes.

Our heads come closer to each other and I can only focus on his beautiful lips.

Is this seriously going to happen? Am I going to kiss my best friend?
