Chapter 16

I place my hands in front of my mouth. He grabs my hand and we are walking to the blanket and around it there are candles. "S-shawn" I let a tear go.

I stop walking and he turns around. "Why did you stop walking?" he asks. I get a huge smile on my face and give him a very tight hug. "Thank you so so much for this" I whisper in his ear.

He rubs over my back and he smells so good. "Everything for you Lisa." I feel my heart is beating faster and that's the moment I let go of him and we continue to walk on further.

I take a seat on the blanket and look at the ocean. The water is so blue. "I thought you will get hungry so I made this" Shawn says. I turn around to him and look in the basket he holds. "You made this food?" He proudly nods. "You don't have to believe me" he laughs. I roll my eyes and look at the candles.

This is so sweet what he has done. "Why are you smiling?" he asks nervously. "Why are you so nervous?" I smile. He plays with his fingers. "Ehhm.. Well.. Ehh.. Do you want something to eat?" he says eventually. He is nervous for some reason, but for what?

"I would love to eat something." His cheeks are turning red and he looks down at the ground. "Why are you so nervous Mendes?" He looks at me and kisses me.

I don't stop him and he gentle pushes me on my back, so I lay on the blanket. My fingers run through his hair and he gives me kisses in my neck. I smile at him and he stands up. "S-sorry, I-i, sorry" he says while running his fingers through his hair.

I stand up too and make him look at me. "Don't feel sorry Shawn, it was just the moment, just like I had." He looks at me and I see how sorry he is. "And don't feel sorry, it's just a kiss" I say. He gives me a hug and we continue to eat.

There was a silence, but it doesn't really bother me. What else do you expect? When your best friend kissed you.

Shawn looks at the sea and so do I. I place my head on his shoulder and sigh. "It's beautiful isn't it?" He nods and looks at me. "Yes" he says quietly.

There is a sunset and I close my eyes. Shawn puts his arms around my neck and gives me a kiss in my hair. It's strange that those lips have kissed me twice. Is he going to get feelings for me?

I place my head on his thigh and close my eyes. I feel Shawn is staring at me but I don't care at this moment. I feel how he caresses my arm and that's the moment I fall asleep.

On Shawn Mendes' thigh while he is singing for me.

When I wake up I hear him humming it makes me happy to hear that. I slowly opens my eyes and when I see how he smiles at me. "Hey" I say and yawn. "Hey" he smiles. "We need to go home" I say. He nods and I stand up.

This time he doesn't grab my hand and I think it's for the best. We walk to the car and there is also a silence.

I get in the car and so does Shawn. I turn the radio on and listen to Camila her new song, Crying in the club. "Damn her voice is so beautiful" he says. "I agree." Also the drive to my home was a silence.

When we arrive at my house I get out of the car and open the front door. Shawn follows me and goes straight to my bed and let's himself on it. "Are you going to sleep here?" I ask amazed. He nods. "I'm too lazy to go to my own house" he says. I raise my eyebrow. "You live next to my house?" "Sshh" he says and closes his eyes. I roll my eyes and walk to the bathroom.

I clean my face and put my pyjamas on. This was an amazing night but a weird one.

I walk back to my room and watch Shawn sleeping. His mouth is a little bit open and he looks so cute. I get a huge smile on my face. I look at him for 2 minutes and then I decide to go in the bed.

Before I know Shawn pulls me to his chest and gives me a kiss in my hair. "I thought you were sleeping" I say quietly. "I can't sleep without you"' he mumbles. I can barely hear it.

I place my head on Shawn's chest and he caresses my upper arm. I close my eyes and hear him humming some words. It makes me relax.

The next morning I wake up at 7 am, because today is a school day. I look right next to me but I don't see Shawn anymore. I yawn, stretch out my arms and leave my bed.

I walk to the bathroom and take a quick shower. I put my clothes on and brush my hair. A little bit mascara and I am done.

I head downstairs and see Shawn is making breakfast for me. "Shawn?" I say. He turns around with a huge smile and hugs me. "Wow, you are ehh.. happy?" I say amazed. "It's a beautiful day Lisa."

It's true, the sun in shining and it's really hot outside. "Here is your breakfast" he says. "Thank you."

We both eat our breakfast and leave the house and drive to school. "Lisa!" Mandi screams. Mandi is a classmate of me. "Yes?" "Prom is soon! We wanted to celebrate it early this year, so be fast and fix a date" she winks. Shawn is still right next to me. "Okay" I scream because she is already gone.

"Can I talk to you later? I want to ask you something" he says. I nod and look at him.

"What do you want to ask me?"
