Chapter 12 ~ Excuse me
The smell of breakfast lingered in the air of the dining room. Everyone, who was relevant, sat at the table enjoying their meals made by the finest chefs in the kingdom.
"Saint, would you like to join me while I do my duties today?" Oliver looked at her with a grin on his face. His blue eyes shined like diamonds reflecting light.
Saint nodded, "I would love to,".
The statues of the Greek gods lined the grand hallway, walking past them would make you feel like you're being watched. Saint's hands were intertwined with Oliver's as they walked towards their first destination of the day.
Oliver placed his hand on the part of the wall where it was a bit darker than the rest and it started to scan his hand print.
"Access granted. Have a great day of training, your highness," a robotic voice of a woman said as the doors opened.
"That's so cool!" Saint squealed and looked around. The training room was specifically built for the training of wolves and humans.
"Welcome to the training facility, sunshine," Oliver smirked at her.
The rest of the Eclipse was there and Saint noticed how hard they pushed themselves. Kalavan was in his wolf form and he was running at speeds of ten kilometres per hour on an unusually large treadmill, Atlas was there keeping track of his vitals.
Sashi, Monday and Triton were in their wolf form too and they were going through an obstacle course. Lupus was hooked up to a machine and it looked like he was playing a virtual reality game.
"Oliver, what's Lupus doing?" Saint asked him. Oliver looked over at Lupus and smiled, "Oh, it's this virtual reality thing that makes you see and feel like a wolf without changing into a wolf,". Saint nodded "Cool,".
"Hello! Sorry I'm late" a girl rushed through the doors.
"Cosette!" everyone exclaimed.
The girl walked passed Saint and went straight to Oliver, "Hi Olly, I made these for you," she smiled at him. Saint noticed how awfully close Cosette was to Oliver but she brushed it off. She's just a friend Saint thought.
"Oh, thanks Cosette," Oliver patted her shoulder as he took the cookies. Oliver looked at Saint, "Sunshine, this is Cosette. I met her when I was seventeen,".
Saint smiled at her, she liked making new friends but Cosette just raised her eyebrow. Saint didn't like that, people would usually smile back at her but Cosette was different.
"Okay you two talk while I do my training," Oliver looked at saint, "You'll be okay right?" he said as he kissed her forehead. Saint smiled at him, "Of course,".
Oliver kissed her forehead one last time before changing into his wolf form.
"Wow," Cosette said, "I thought he was single,". Saint kept quiet, she didn't like the aura that came from Cosette.
"And who are you supposed to be?" Cosette glared at her. Saint looked at her with a confused expression, how does she not know who I am?
"Do you not speak to anyone else except for Olly?" Cosette crossed her arms.
Saint decided to play around with her so she nodded. Cosette huffed, "Wow, okay, whatever, Oliver is mine anyways,".
Saint bursted out laughing, "Is this some type of joke to you?" Cosette asked her.
"Damn right it is," Saint wiped a joyful tear that rolled down her cheek. "Oh, so you do talk. Who even are you?" Cosette asked her again.
"My name is Saint Olympia Alectrona," Saint introduced herself. "Yeah, I haven't heard of you," Cosette looked at her nails.
"and I'm Oliver's girlfriend," Saint said proudly. She liked that title a lot.
Cosette bursted out coughing, "You're his girlfriend?!" she exclaimed. Saint smiled at her 'sweetly' and nodded.
"Wow, he sure has low standards," Cosette causally said as she continued to look at her nails.
"Excuse me?" Apollo's voice appeared in the air causing everyone to look around.
"It's just Apollo, everyone calm down," Saint explained to the growling wolves.
Apollo suddenly appeared in front of Cosette, "Who you calling ugly?" he asked as he placed his hand on his hip while waving his finger in air sassily.
Cosette didn't know what to do, a god had just appeared in front of her and he was sassy.
"Girl, you better start talking before I get my girlie Saint to hold my earrings," he shot a wink at Saint. Saint giggled, Apollo was a bit different that day and Saint was loving it.
"Why do you even care about her, she's a nobody and you're a god," Cosette exclaimed loudly, it was loud enough for Oliver to hear and he was concerned.
"She's the King of the Solar kingdom, what are you doing!" Oliver had changed back into his human form and he was walking towards Cosette
"Oo, girl, you got yo man doing this," Apollo whispered to Saint causing her to blush.
"Well I didn't know that!" Cosette said in distress. Oliver raised his eyebrow at her, "Really? Are you even a true Lunarium? How do you not know about our kingdom's greatest ally?" he paused, "and is that how you're supposed to speak to an alpha!".
Cosette kept her head low. She had embarrassed herself in front of so many people, especially in front of the boy she was crushing on.
Kalavan put his hand on Oliver's shoulder, "Easy, she's just an omega,". Oliver shook his head and looked at Saint, his face immediately softened. "Are you okay? Did she hurt you?" he asked as he scanned her body for potential bruises.
Saint smiled, "It's not a big deal, Oliver. I'm fine,". Saint liked how Oliver was so protective, she appreciated how much he cared for her.
Cosette ran off crying, Monday followed afterwards. The rest of them went back to their training without a word.
"Well, girlie, I'm off. Call me if you need anything," Apollo waved his pink flip phone and went into the sunlight.
"What's up with him?" Oliver asked.
"I honestly don't know but I really like it," Saint retorted.
She hugged Oliver and they stood there for a while.
