Chapter 33 ~ The War

Oliver shot awake and looked around at his surroundings, he was still wearing the same clothes that he wore at the joyous funeral.

Oliver rushed to the widow and pushed his curtains aside, it was dark outside but the lights of the Lunarium people were lit and everything seemed to be at piece. No smoke, no mayhem, no war.

Oliver sighed in relief and thanked Artemis that it was just a horrible dream. He didn't bother to turn on the lights as the moonlight was enough for him, it was soothing as it reminded him of his younger days.

He got into his bathroom and started to clean himself of the day earlier. He changed into grey sweatpants and a matching t shirt, and he walked out of his room for a snack, dinner maybe.

As the grandfather clock down the hallway struck twelve, Oliver was searing a cut of steak on the stove. Nobody really knew that the prince could cook except for his pack members, Oliver would always make meals for them and they were grateful for it.

"Why the heck are you awake?" Monday appeared behind him, resting his head on Oliver's back.

"I took a really long nap and I just woke up a few minutes ago. Do you want one, love?" he said as he turned to face the younger boy.

Oliver was always a softie despite his status as an alpha, he cared for his pack members as if they were his children. He often called them by affectionate names when they weren't in public.

"Yes please." Monday said as he hugged Oliver from behind.

"You're quite touchy today, well, tonight. What's up?" the prince asked as the grip around his waist tightened.

"I think my heat is coming." Monday mumbled but it was loud enough for the royal to hear.

Oliver stiffened up for a moment, "Darling, I can't take care of that anymore. You know I'm engaged." he felt sympathetic towards the young omega.

This was going to be Monday's first heat without Oliver and that saddened him but he could understand.

"You know, I've noticed that Atlas has been looking at you differently lately. Maybe you can ask him to take care of you." Oliver suggested as he turned the steaks over.

As soon as he said that, Atlas had stepped into the kitchen with a mug in his hand.

"Did somebody call for me." he asked as he sipped whatever was in his mug.

Monday blushed and shook his head but Oliver's mouth moved faster.

"Our baby omega here is nearing his heat and he needs someone to take care of him because I can't help him anymore." he smiled brightly at his beta.

Atlas almost dropped his mug when Oliver finished his sentence. Of course his alpha would know that he liked the omega, it was so obvious but Monday was too oblivious to notice that Atlas liked him. Hell, Atlas was madly in love with him and how much it hurt to hear Oliver take care of him during his heats.

"You don't have to do it if you don't want to." Monday mumbled shyly.

Atlas set his mug down and grabbed Monday's hands.

"You seriously have no idea how much I like you. Scratch that, I'm so in love with you. You're so beautiful and I just want to take care of you and cherish you and you have no idea how much it hurt when you let other people take care of you because that should be my job. I want you so, so bad. I want you to be mine." Atlas' hands were shaking as he finished his confession.

Monday's face was as red as the Inferno kingdom's lava, he didn't know what to say.

Halfway through Atlas' confession, Oliver had teleported away with his plate of steak, he didn't want to be a third wheel.

Monday looked at Atlas and crashed his lips with his. Atlas was surprised for a moment but he kissed back after a few seconds of realisation. The omega smiled into the kiss before pulling away, "I've always loved you and well, I was always scared that you would push me away if I asked you to take care of me." Monday gave him a sheepish smile.

Atlas chuckled and shook his head, "Well from now on, I'm going to be the one who's taking care of you." he said as he hugged Monday tightly.

Atlas and Monday sat at the dining table eating the steak that Oliver had made for the young omega. They talked about each other and future plans as a pack, they even talked about children despite that it was just the start of their relationship. Everything was going well until Monday started to feel sweat drip down his spine, his body was heating up and he knew what it was.

His heat came early and being an un-mated omega, his pheromones were everywhere and Atlas was getting intoxicated by the smell of his new boyfriend.

"It's here." Monday mumbled as Atlas nuzzled his head into his neck, inhaling the scent of the omega.

"You smell really good. Bless Artemis." Atlas admitted. Monday could feel the smirk on Atlas' face growing into his neck, he was caught off guard when he was suddenly lifted off the ground.

"Come on, sweetheart, we have a lot to do tonight." Monday blushed as Atlas winked at him before placing a soft peck onto his lips.

The beta carried the omega into their bedroom and closed the door behind them so that nobody could see what they were about to do.

Oliver was currently at the roof top of the castle looking at the moon, thinking about the dream he had.

"Goddess Artemis, are you trying to tell me something?" he mumbled.

Oliver's right hand began to burn, it felt like a sharp knife was cutting through his skin.

Nah, I'm just messing with you. Lol. If there was a war, Saint would be the first young god to get the vision.

~ Art Art :'')

Oliver smiled and laid on the roof for the rest of the night, watching the stars twinkle above him.
