Chapter 15 ~ Velocity
Apollo barged through the doors of the Solar castle with Artemis and Hermes, "Honey, I'm home!" he called out jokingly.
Lachlan flew near the ceiling and did a couple of tricks, Saint was mesmerised by his abilities. Saint liked how Lachlan could glide through the air so smoothly. Artemis nudged Apollo's side with her elbow, "He gives me that vibe," she squinted her eyes at the winged boy.
Apollo faced her and raised his eyebrow, "What vibe?" he asked. Artemis studied Lachlan carefully, she was trying to read him. "It's the vibe I feel when Oliver talks about Saint- Wait!" Artemis gasped. She looked at Apollo and back to Lachlan, "Take my bow if I'm wrong but I think he likes your descendant,".
Apollo clutched his chest, right where the heart is located, "If he ruins Soliver, I will personally sacrifice him to the river of Styx," he says dramatically.
Hermes was behind Artemis and Apollo, and he was trying to create a plan just in case Lachlan did like Saint. "Of all people, you had to fall for the one who's guarded by the wolf," Hermes thought to himself as he let out a sigh.
Lachlan landed on his feet and shot Saint a cheeky grin, "Did I look cool?" he asked and Saint immediately showered him with compliments.
Apollo cleared his throat so that the pair of young gods knew they were there. "Oh hello," Saint bowed to them in respect before turning back to Lachlan.
"This child," Artemis muttered. Apollo chuckled, "Okay so-" he was interrupted by Saint. "Sorry but we gotta go!" Saint shrieked while Lachlan carried her bridal style. Lachlan flapped his wings and they flew off.
"Be careful with her!" Artemis shouted at Hermes' descendant, "Yea, I don't like him," she admitted. Hermes sighed, two gods didn't like his descendant and they only found out about his existence that day.
"Don't be so harsh, they're probably just friends," Apollo tried to reason it out but he was very hesitant about it. He just hoped that Oliver and Saint's relationship wouldn't be affected by the boy with wings.
Artemis vanished without a word, the only thing left was a cloud of indigo coloured smoke that lingered the air with soft whispers. Hermes ran off to clear his mind and Apollo kept track of Saint.

Apollo blended in with the light and watched Saint and Lachlan talk in the garden. "So how long have you known Oliver?" Lachlan asked Saint as he played with his fingers.
Apollo went closer to listen to their conversation, he knew it was wrong to eavesdrop but it was best to keep Saint safe. Lachlan was still an outsider after all.
Saint smiled at the thought of Oliver, "I've known him since I was born and we practically grew up together," she said fondly. Lachlan nodded, "So how long have you two been dating?" he asked as he leaned his face closer to Saint's.
"A couple of months but I do love him a lot, he's the only person that actually gets me sometimes. He's been there for me since the very start and I really appreciate that," Saint smiled thinking about all the times she had spent with him.
Lachlan leaned in to kiss Saint but a silver arrow brushed past his lips before he could do so. "She has a boyfriend, Lachlan," Apollo's voice boomed through the garden.
Saint was dumbfounded, she stood up and looked at Lachlan with the hurt evident on her face. "I'm sorry," her face was red as she ran off into the castle.
Apollo was still watching Lachlan, Lachlan laid on the bench and grabbed his hair. "What a buzzkill," he complained. Apollo was slightly offended by his words. "She has a boyfriend, you idiot," Apollo whispered into the winged boy's ear causing him to jump.
"Who said that?" Lachlan looked around nervously, "Show yourself!" he shouted but there was no reply as Apollo had already vanished.
Saint was in her room thinking about what happened earlier, she didn't expect that from Lachlan. "Oliver would have been so disappointed if Lachlan kissed me," a tear rolled down her cheek. Saint felt like she cheated on Oliver even though she didn't do anything, she felt so guilty that she could have kissed Lachlan if that arrow didn't shoot through.
There was a knock on her door, "Saint, sweetie. It's me Apollo,". Apollo came in and sat beside Saint, "I'm sorry about that," he said as he embraced the young girl. Saint started to bawl into his shoulder, "I feel like I cheated on Oliver," she hiccuped. Apollo rubbed her back comfortingly, "You didn't do anything wrong okay? It's fine, you didn't know what was going on. It's over now," he said reassuringly.
Saint fell asleep in his arms, "You really worked yourself up," he whispered sympathetically. Apollo tucked Saint into bed and slipped out of her room.

"He almost kissed Saint,"
Apollo and Artemis were in the Lunar forest training their archery skills. Artemis let go of her golden bowstring causing the arrow to go through her target, bullseye. "Are you legit?" she lowered her bow and raised her eyebrow at him.
Apollo nodded, "It was tragic, Saint felt like she cheated on Oliver even though she didn't do anything," he sighed. Artemis shook her head, "If Lachlan did kiss her, he would have died already. You don't mess with the alpha's mate," she raised her bow again and three arrows shot through the air with a great velocity.
Artemis snapped her head to look behind, "Something doesn't feel right," she crouched down and touched the ground. "I sense a wolf nearby but this isn't their territory," she looked around again and sure enough bright yellow eyes were staring into her godly soul from a bush hedge.
"You aren't allowed here," she spoke dominantly, "Show yourself,". The wolf came out of the flora and it kept its head and tail down to show respect. Apollo watched carefully from the boulder he was sitting on. Artemis examined the wolf and she gasped.
"It's you,".
