Chapter 20 ~ 사랑해
"We're here!" Oliver said with glee.
He parked the car and opened the door for Saint, "My lady." Saint grabbed his hand and got out of the vehicle.
The couple stood in front of the gates of a rose garden and Saint could see a statue of Aphrodite coming out from a rose bush. The atmosphere was serene and the garden was lit up by light fairies; one of the rarest types of fairies as they were almost extinct.
"How'd you get light fairies here? They're so beautiful." Saint smiled at Oliver while petting a fairy that landed on her palm.
Oliver laughed, "I didn't capture them, this is their habitat and nobody dares to catch them as Aphrodite rules these grounds." he intertwined his hand with Saint's and led her through the gate.
Oliver and Saint bowed at Aphrodite's statue before walking again. The fairy that was originally in Saint's hand flew up and sat on her head.
"That fairy really likes you." Oliver chuckled and placed a kiss on Saint's cheek causing her to blush and the fairy to squeal.
They walked until they reached a table with lit candles and a rose in the middle of the table with a note.
"What's this all about?" Saint asked as Oliver helped her into her seat, "You'll find out soon, don't open it until I tell you okay?" Saint nodded.
A few fairies landed on Oliver and smiled at him. One of them went to his ear and whispered something to him.
"Oh, is that so?" he said, amused with the little fairy on his shoulder.
"So what should I tell her?" he asked the fairies but they just giggled.
Saint smiled fondly at her boyfriend, she wished that she could be with him forever and ever. She wanted to be with him until they were laying in their death beds, waiting for the gates of Mount Olympus to open for their souls to go through together.
But they were young gods and they would be immortal once they die. It had not occured to Saint that she would literally be with Oliver forever so she appreciated all the time she spent with him.
After the couple ate their food, they talked about their childhood.
"Remember that time you tried to ride that horse but it didn't like you so it pushed you off and you fell in it's poop!" Saint laughed loudly at the hilarious memory.
"Shut up! I had to bath for three hours to get the stench off me." Oliver giggled.
Saint took a sip of her champagne, "Can I see the note now?" she asked innocently and who was Oliver to deny her.
Saint cheered happily before reading note.
I love you and I know that you know that and I hope you give me a chance.
Saint was confused until she looked up from the note and saw that Oliver was propped up on one knee with a small box.
Saint smiled widely while the fairies were squealing in delight.
Oliver took a deep breathe before speaking.
"Saint Olympia Alectrona, the name of the girl I fell in love with ever since I was a young boy. I love you. I know that I kept a few things secret from you but it was just because I couldn't stand the thought of you leaving me because of what I am. I love you more than anything and if you asked me to show it to you, I would carry the whole world on my shoulders just for you to be happy.
I would do anything and everything for you. I will never let anyone hurt you because you are mine to protect. You are mine to care for. You are mine to love. I swear on Artemis that I will never hurt you on purpose and if you ever feel like I'm hurting or neglecting you, please tell me so I can fix it. I'll do anything to keep you happy even if it means ripping my heart out.
Saint Olympia Alectrona, will you please be my ray of sunlight forever?"
Oliver opened the box to reveal a rose gold ring with huge white diamond that sparkled under the lights of the fairies.
Saint was crying tears of joy because Oliver could finally be her's forever.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! I'll be your ray of sunlight forever!" Saint hugged Oliver tightly, inhaling his expensive cologne. Oliver smiled at his girlfriend, his fiancée, he tilted her head up and kissed her passionately.
"I love you so much." he said in between kisses.
They pulled away and Saint was blushing furiously, "I love you so much too." she smiled into his chest.
Apollo and Artemis were hiding in the rose bush beside the newly engaged couple and Apollo could not hold back his tears.
"She's getting married! She's getting married!" He whispered loudly to Artemis who was also teary eyed.
The two gods held each other close and cried as their descendants were growing up too fast for their liking.
"So now that we're engaged, what to do you wanna do?" Saint's smile was brighter than ever, Apollo could never relate.
Oliver pulled her closer to him, "I want you and I back at the castle cuddling and discussing about how many pets we're going to adopt unless you want kids." he laughed happily.
Apollo immediately stuck his head out of the bushes but Artemis pulled him back quickly.
"Did you hear that?" Saint looked around but shrugged after realising that it was just the wind, well she thought it was.
"You idiot, they aren't supposed to know that we're here!" Artemis whispered, annoyed by her triggered and shaken brother.
Apollo took deep breaths and calmed down. He tried to look back at the couple but something was blocking his view. He looked up and there was an amused Oliver staring at him.
"Well you two look like you enjoyed the show." Oliver smiled smugly.
Saint smiled at Artemis. "Artemis, some of your mascara got onto your shirt when you were crying," she laughed.
Artemis looked down, "That isn't mine, that's Apollo's." she giggled.
"Shut up, I'm not over the fact that my baby is getting married." Apollo began crying again and hugged Saint tightly. Saint smiled sadly at him and hugged him as tight too.
Oliver chuckled, "Don't worry Apollo, I'll protect Saint until the day I die." he assured him.
Apollo threw a playful glare at him, "That better be true, wolf boy!".
"Let's go back to the castle, boy." Artemis said as she dragged Apollo away, "Leave the newly engaged couple to do their fun activities." she laughed as Apollo tried to get out of her hold.
Oliver smiled adoringly at Saint.
I love you.
