Chapter 22 ~ Thingy
Three hours have passed and Oliver felt like he was about to explode, his pants felt tight and he was extremely uncomfortable. Oliver was quietly thanking Artemis that Saint's parents could not see his lower region.
"How do you feel about that Oliver?" Saint's mother cut him out of his thoughts.
Oliver shot his head up and stuttered, "I-I'm sorry but what were we discussing about?" he laughed nervously. The sweat forming on his forehead was evident and his face was as red as a tomato.
"Oliver are you okay?" Saint's mother furrowed her eyebrows, "You seem a bit warm?" she commented.
Oliver faked a smile and nodded his head as if nothing was wrong. His grip on his thigh got tighter.
He couldn't take it anymore. "I'm sorry but I have to go." and with that, the prince of the Lunar kingdom vanished right before the Solar royals' eyes.
The only thing that was left behind was an indigo coloured smoke with a bit of sliver glitter.
Saint's father chuckled, "He's on his rut, isn't he?" he looked at Saint.
Saint stood up with a confused look, "H-How'd you know?" she asked him.
"Well, sweetheart, my best friend is a werewolf and I've seen him when he was on his rut and Oliver is just like him." her father paused before speaking, "You should have let him take his suppressants before coming here but I think it's for the best that his rut has hit him. An alpha shouldn't stop his rut for long, it's bad for his health." he threw a piece of chocolate in his mouth.
Saint sat down and thought about it for a moment, "What exactly is a rut?" she asked curiously.
Saint's mother laughed nervously, "I think it would be best if you ask a werewolf what that is,".
Saint huffed, "I'll postpone the announcement for now, I have to check if Oliver is okay." she stood up and walked out of the door.
"Be careful alright! Ruts are dangerous!" her father shouted down the corridor, Saint turned her head and nodded.

Saint was contemplating if she should use her powers to get to the Lunarium empire. She knew it would drain her but as long as Oliver was okay, Saint did not mind draining herself for him.
Saint closed her eyes and thought about Oliver's castle. A strong volt of electricity shot through her causing her to scream in pain.
She dropped to the ground with a thud. Saint groaned in pain and peeked through the slits of her eyes, she had made it to the castle.
"Woah, your highness. Take it easy," Kalavan ran towards the fallen descendant, he was taking a peaceful stroll around the castle until he saw his alpha's fiancée.
"Oh, hi Kal! I'm just checking up on my fiancé." Saint smiled at him, gripping onto his arm for support.
Kalavan scratched the nape of his neck, "Well you see, your fiancé is kinda in his rut at the mom-"
"I know that." Saint cut him off, "what exactly is a rut?" she looked at him with hopeful eyes.
Kalavan wanted to evaporate at that moment, he did not expect his alpha's mate to ask him this question.
Saint continued to stare at him.
Kalavan was about to answer but Joshua overheard their conversation and decided to step in.
"A rut is basically a mating season. At the moment, Oliver is relieving himself in his room. This is the first time in a long time that he is actually going through his rut, I usually have him on suppressants but I guess he forgot to take them." Joshua shook his head, he told Oliver so many times to take the suppressants but as always, Oliver did not listen.
"But I think it's for the best that he's on his rut right now, he's been holding it back for too long." Joshua smiled at Saint.
Joshua was about to leave but an important piece of information shot through his head, "Do not go near him during his ruts, it's really dangerous for you. Oliver's inner wolf has taken over his body so he isn't in control of himself. It's worse because you're his mate so he craves for your scent. You can't smell it but wolves can and it's usually a very sweet smell." he looked at Saint seriously.
"Go home, Saint. It's not safe for you here-"
Joshua was cut off by a loud scream that sounded like Oliver. He sighed and looked at Kalavan, "Guard his doors and make sure he can't get out." he looked through his tablet before leaving.
Another scream ran through the corridor.
"Is he okay?" Saint was concerned about him, she wanted to check if Oliver was alright but she knew that it was not safe for her to do so.
"He's fine, alright? Just go home." Kalavan held Saint's upper arms before patting her head, "I'm sorry but I'm not good with girls." he laughed nervously.
Saint giggled, "That's fine, I'm not good with boys either. Oliver was the only boy I knew before I met any of you." she clapped her hands.
Saint's phone was ringing.
Oliver 💖
"Hi darling!" Saint said enthusiastically, she loved listening to Oliver's voice.
"B-baby, I-i need you so bad." Oliver groaned loudly causing Saint to get red and flustered.
"I know, darling, but it's not safe for me to be with you right now." she retorted sympathetically. Her heart was beating fast with all the sounds Oliver was making through the phone.
"I know baby but I love hearing your voice, it's soothing. I'll be back to normal
soon okay? I love you." Oliver smiled even though he knew that Saint could not see it."I love you too, be careful and don't hurt yourself doing your thingy." Saint laughed loudly because of what she said.
"You're so childish, okay bye." Oliver chuckled weakly.
"Bye!" Saint hung up the phone and was full of giggles.
"Thingy" she repeated and laughed even harder, Kalavan looked at her as if she was crazy.
"I'm just gonna leave now." Kalavan said but Saint did not hear him as she was too busy laughing at herself.
"This couple is crazier than I thought," he chuckled as he walked down the corridor to check on Oliver.
Knock Knock
"Are you okay in there? Do you need anything?" Kalavan asked with his ear on the door.
"I need Saint!" Oliver groaned for the umpteenth time.
"You need the gods more than Saint with all those sounds you're making!" Kalavan scrunched his face in disgust.
"Leave me alone!"
Kalavan laughed at his alpha, "Okay bye!" he dragged out the 'e'.
