Chapter 36 ~ Epilogue
Six months later.
"The bride is here! The bride is here! Saint is here!" Sinclair squealed joyfully beside the nervous Oliver.
The orchestra started to play their instruments as Saint walked down the aisle in the dress that was specially made for her by the top designers from the Crystal Empire. The dress sparkled under the bright lights of the chandeliers that hung above their heads.
The gods of Mount Olympus had attended the wedding and all of them were in awe. Apollo's mascara was running down his face because he was so happy for his descendant, she was marrying her first and last love. Artemis was trying not to cry but a tear had slipped from her eye.
Saint had finally stood beside the man she would spend the rest of her immortal life with and smiled widely at him. Hera had led the ceremony, being the goddess of marriage after all.
"Do you take Saint Olympia Alectrona, the king of the Solar Empire to be your lawfully wedded wife for the rest of eternity?" Hera asked him.
Oliver looked at Saint with love in his eyes, "I do." he smiled at her.
"And do you take Oliver-"
Hera was cut off by Saint as she had already leaned into to kiss Oliver. The whole church cheered in delight at the newly wedded couple.
"YEAH THATS MY GIRL!" Apollo shouted from the first row as he clapped enthusiastically causing the gods around him to laugh.
Hera smiled before speaking, "You are now husband and wife." Oliver grabbed Saint's hand and ran down the aisle with her, laughing as they got into the car.
They looked at each other with the biggest smiles on their faces.
"So wifey," Oliver began causing Saint to snort at the new pet name.
"Yes, hubby?" Saint retorted causing Oliver to have a tingling feeling run down his spine.
"You still like me right?" Oliver asked her.
Saint bursted out laughing, "My love, we just got married! Of course I like you, scratch that, I love you and always will love you!" Saint giggled before resting her head on his shoulder.
Oliver gripped her waist reassuringly, "Good because I feel the same way." he chuckled, kissing the sun on her forehead.
His eyes widened, the sun on her forehead was glowing so he kissed it again and it became even brighter.
He smiled, "Your sun glows when I kiss it." Saint blushed and hid her face in the crook of his neck.
"That's because you light me up inside."
she mumbled. On the day they got married, everything in the two kingdoms changed. The flags, the crest, the rules, and everything else were now different. The Lunar empire and Solar empire were now counted as one, and their kingdom was now called Clair de Lune which meant "the light of the moon".
Oliver really liked the name as he thought that it fit their relationship well.
The moon needed the sun to shine.
The newly wed couple had reached their destination and they walked through the big wooden doors with their hands intertwined with one another. Oliver pulled Saint's seat out for her to sit on and Saint blushed at his gesture causing the people around them to smile at how cute they were.
