Chapter 29 ~ Crystal Dome
Sinclair really was made out of crystal, so fragile and delicate. So easy to break. His heart was worse, Demian had it in his hands but he crushed it as if it was paper.
A paper heart.
The boy made out of the rarest stones and gems came out of his bedroom for the first time in three days. It had been three days since he found out that a garden was forming in his lungs, three days of pain and heartbreak, three days of unrequited love.
He coughed more often and the girl made out of sunlight was trying her best to console her friend. The werewolf knew, of course, he knew that his friend was suffering but he didn't know how to help.
Even if he got the best doctors in the world to help Sinclair, it wouldn't be enough as the boy had requested for his love to remain. The love that was meant for the boy who did not love him back, the boy that broke his diamond encrusted heart.
Saint, being the concerned friend that she was, stayed with Sinclair since the tea party just in case he were to collapse from the flowers.
Demian visited but he never noticed that his boyfriend was slowly dying inside, the boy of fire didn't think that Sinclair would have Hanahaki Disease. To Demian, it was just another myth but truth be told, this myth was true. He was just to blind to see it.
Saint walked through the crystal palace with a heavy heart and a mind filled with complicated thoughts. She thought hard about Sinclair's condition.
That was until she heard a voice from the left hallway.
"I'll see you soon okay, princess? I love you."
Saint peaked at the hallway and saw Demian carrying a bouquet of roses, for what she assumed was for Sinclair.
The prince of fire smiled at his cellphone before slipping it in his back pocket.
"Oh, Sinclair, you were nothing for me." Demian laughed as if nobody could hear him but he was wrong. He was dead wrong.
Saint emerged from the hallway and glared at him, Demian was taken aback due to her spontaneous appearance.
A light ball was already forming in Saint's hand, ready to shoot if needed.
"He loves you so much and this is what you do to him." the light in Saint's hand was growing bigger and bigger as if it signified the anger growing inside of her despite her calm appearance.
"He cares so much about you but you cheat on him as if he's nothing to you despite the fact that his whole world literally revolves around you!" Saint cautiously got closer to him. She knew that fire was not meant to be messed but deep down she knew that the heat was worth it.
Demian also started to form a blaze of fire in his hands, he was going to attack if Saint got any closer.
Saint stared into Demian's eyes and she started to think about what she was going to say to the younger boy.
"Move and I'll set fire to the castle." Demian threatened causing the flames in his hands to get bigger. He was ready to cause mayhem to his ex-lover's home.
"Do that and I'll make sure your kingdom gets washed over by the twenty seas." Saint smirked at him.
Having close relations with the water tribes of the twenty seas had its perks. One call and that could be the end of the Inferno kingdom.
Demian gave Saint a hard glare but Saint just stepped forward. Demian did as what he said and shot his fireball at the castle's curtains but it wasn't working. It was like the castle was fireproof.
