Chapter 32 ~ Kingdom of the...
After the funeral, all the royals went back to their respective kingdoms.
Oliver walked into his castle with tired eyes, he entered the dining room and saw his pack members along with their hybrids.
"Good day to you all." he yawned as he sluggishly walked past them.
Hannie jumped out of his seat and hugged Oliver tightly, "Hi, we've missed you." he pouted.
The other three hybrids also approached the young prince and showered him with affection. They were all giggling as they placed soft kisses on Oliver's forehead.
"Now, now, little ones, I don't think your daddies would like to see all of you be so affectionate towards me." he chuckled at them before placing a kiss on their foreheads too.
The four hybrids blushed and quickly ran back to their caregivers. Oliver smiled at them and continued to walk to his bedroom.
He took off his expensive leather shoes and coat before jumping into bed with his eyes already closed, he immediately fell asleep as his body hit the mattress. He needed to get as much energy as possible because the full moon was just around the corner; the night of the full moon was always fun but it was also exhausting.
It was also tiring for Artemis as she had to keep track of all the werewolves that were changing for the night. She made sure that humans were not attacked by wild werewolves or any other nocturnal mythical beasts.
This was going to be Oliver's first full moon since he stopped taking his suppressants which meant that his godly abilities would be more powerful than usual during the full moon.
Oliver was snoring soundly until loud sirens started to blare throughout the castle, the Lunar prince covered his ears with his pillow and groggily mumbled a few curse words.
"This is not a drill, there has been a breach of security, the kingdom is under attack. This is not-"
Oliver shot out of bed with panic etched on his face and ran out of his room to look for his pack. He howled louder than the sirens and he immediately got a howl back, Oliver bolted towards the direction of the familiar sound and found himself at the training facility.
"What the heck happened?!" he panted as he stepped into the machine that would help him put his Eclipse suit on.
"Someone had bombed all the entrances to the kingdom, all the knights have been sent out to patrol the different sectors and to calm down the people. So far, there are no casualties." Atlas reported to his future king.
Oliver stepped out of the machine and his suit looked like it was freshly polished, it gleamed under the lights. His whole pack was suited up and ready to go.
"Where are the hybrids?" Oliver asked as he put on his helmet.
"They've been sent to the Solar kingdom by portal and they are currently with King Saint Olympia." Kalavan replied as they walked out of the training room.
The castle was on top of this hill and it had seven sectors surrounding it. Seven different places for the people of the Lunar empire.
Oliver began to instruct them on where to go and what to look for. They had to look for any suspicious items and clues as to what happened.
Kalavan was recruited to go to the first sector, Lewana. Lewana was the agricultural site of the empire and they provided all the food for all the people living in the kingdom.
Sashi volunteered to go to the second sector, Bader Chandra. Bader Chandra was a subdivision for the wealthy, they exported goods to the other kingdoms and they ran the farm that grew Wolfsbane.
Triton had been sent to Soma, the sector famous for its magic. It was a very sketchy place but the beta was not afraid of exploring it.
Atlas had gone to Luciana, which was known as the working industry of the Lunar empire.
Monday had been chosen to patrol Nokomis, the sector of medicine. This was Joshua's home sector before he moved into the castle as the head scientist.
Lupus had chosen to go to Celena, it was the biggest sector as it was for housing. To save space, the Lunar government had built high rise buildings for the people to live in. Everything that was needed for a Lunarium family was implemented into the flats. This was inspired from the Inferno kingdom's housing development board.
Oliver had to handle Zelenia, Zelenia was also another housing estate but it was still under construction.
"Alright, everyone report back to the castle in two hours." Oliver said as he got onto the black mechanical horse that had the symbol of the silver moon on its hind legs.
His pack members nodded and Oliver headed towards Zelenia.
Meanwhile at the Solar empire, Saint was freaking out about her fiancé.
She paced around the room while she face-timed Skylar and Sinclair.
"What if he gets hurt? What if he gets killed?!" she panicked and started to hyperventilate.
"Saint, sweetie, please remember that if Oliver does die, he will literally come back as a god." Skylar deadpanned at her.
"Oh yeah. Young god." Saint calmed down and laughed at her silliness.
"Anyways, how's Sinclair?" Saint asked.
The two royals began talking about how things were going and shared the latest gossip with each other.
Back to the Lunar kingdom, Oliver was scanning all the buildings to see if anything dangerous was secretly hidden but nothing came up.
"Ugh, this is bloody horrible." Oliver groaned and slumped onto his horse, hitting his helmet on the metal of the machine.
"Oi! Don't do that to your helmet, I spent so much time building that." Joshua whined through the microphone that was connected to the speaker of Oliver's helmet.
Oliver giggled and apologised, he sat up straight and started trotting through Zelenia.
Incoming call from Kalavan
"Report." Oliver stated.
"I have found a box near the bombed entrance of Lewana, it has the symbol of the dead on it." Kalavan reported as he kept a distance from the box, "I'll have the bomb squad look at it first." he said.
"Alright, stay safe even if our suits can withstand nuclear bombs." Oliver ended the call.
The two hours went by quicker than they thought and they were all back in the castle. Oliver sat at the head of the table and listened to the generals of the Lunarium army talk about their plans on what to do once they figure out who started the bombing.
The topic of war was suddenly brought up and Oliver felt a drop of sweat trickle down his spine despite the cold temperature of the room.
Kalavan ran into the room and whispered something in Oliver's ear. Oliver looked at him with wide eyes and gulped.
They were going to war with the kingdom of the dead.
