As we step through the threshold, I feel myself relax. I'm finally home! I flop onto the couch facedown and sigh happily.
Saeran laughs at my actions. "Guess you missed it, huh?"
I sit up properly and nod.
He closes the front door behind him and locks it, turning back around to survey the house. "You live here, huh?"
I nod again, standing up. I make my way over to the laundry room and place the sweatshirt on the washing machine.
"All by yourself?"
I shake my head. "My parents are away on business a lot, is all. My little brother lives with my grandparents."
"You have a little brother?" Saeran asks softly.
"Yeah. He used to be such a pain, but I miss him."
He laughs. "I guess that's just how siblings are."
I nod. "Make yourself at home." I peek out of the room to gesture to the couch. After watching him sit down, I make my way to my bedroom, emptying my hamper and carrying that into the laundry room as well.
Saeran turns to look at me as I walk out. "What are you doing?"
"It'd be a waste to wash just the sweatshirt. Might as well wash my own laundry with it." I shrug and look down at the clothes I'm currently wearing. "Shit... Probably should wash these, too." I head off to my room again. However, this time I hear footsteps behind me. I ignore him and begin rifling through my dresser for a change of clothes.
"So this is your room, huh?" Saeran leans against the doorframe.
I nod, continuing my search. I don't see what he's doing, but I'm sure his eyes are traveling around the room, taking it in. Finally, I find what I need and sneak by him, making my way towards the bathroom. Placing my clothes on the counter, I leave there too, and turn to look at him, crossing my arms.
Saeran's still standing in the doorway to my bedroom, but he was always following me with his eyes wherever I went. "What?"
"Can I get you some food or something?"
He shakes his head.
I roll my eyes. "I haven't seen you eat anything yet today. I'll go get you something."
I start my journey to the kitchen, hearing his feet pattering behind me on the carpet.
"Any requests?" I ask, opening the fridge.
"Not particularly."
I look around inside it. Nothing much. I sigh. "Good, because apparently I need to go grocery shopping, too."
Saeran chuckles. "My, my, you're a mess."
I turn around to glare at him. "I was working on this stupid project all week!"
It's not smart to give him the time of day. I turn back around, and remember something else, opening the freezer.
"Do you like ice cream?" I glance behind me, just in time to see his eyes light up. He nods vigorously.
"Alright." I laugh. I examine the cartons in front of me. "There's strawberry, rocky road, and cookies and cream."
"I quite like strawberry." His voice came from directly behind me, and I feel his head rest on top of mine.
"Okay, strawberry it is, then."
Saeran kisses the top of my head. "You're the best."
I grab the carton of ice cream and close the freezer, turning around. Looking up at him, I smirk. "I know." I gesture to the kitchen table. "Go sit down."
