The Ride Home

I watch Saeran walk away from the doorway of the kitchen.

I should really follow him or something... I'll just talk to him later in the car.

I turn the opposite direction to go to Saeyoung's room.

I feel bad for making him basically chauffeur me around. I don't have much of a choice. I can't drive, and I don't know the area well enough to where I can go home on my own. Then again, I doubt that they'd  let me go on my own in case something happens to me. But, still. I'm being such a burden to them.

His bedroom door is cracked open, but I knock before entering to be courteous.

"Hiya, (Y/n). Need a ride home?" Seven lowers his laptop screen and lets his headphones fall back around his neck.

"I'm really sorry about all of this. I know I'm wasting your time and I wish you didn't have to keep driving me but I don't know where I am or where to go and..." I trail off, realizing I'm rambling.

"It's alright. I don't mind, really." He laughs, standing up from his desk.

"I'll have to pay you back soon."

"It's alright." Seven repeats, smiling. "Honestly, you're making Saeran happy. That's good enough payment for me."

"I am?" My eyes widen. "It is?"  I'm genuinely confused here. I know Seven really cares about his brother, for sure. But... I make him HAPPY?

He nods. "He's different now. I think you brought out a new side of him, you know. I can tell he cares about you."

I feel color rise up in my cheeks and look at my feet. "I don't think so, but thanks." I laugh nervously.

"You can think whatever you want, but I know it's true. Thanks for helping him. I know I say it a lot but... It really means a lot to me to see him recovering."

Seven walks over and sneaks past me through the door. "Let's go."

I sigh and follow him. Maybe he's right?

This time, I sit in the middle seat in the car so I can be closer to Saeran. God, I really don't want to go home. I lean my head on his shoulder, holding my phone with both hands.

'We should just stay here forever.'

He laughs quietly, wrapping an arm around me and holding me closer to him. He manages to get in a position where both his hands are free to text.

'I wish.'

'Yeah.'

I think a little before sending a second message. 'I wish we were alone right now.'

I look up to see him smirking at me. 'And why is that?'

I glance back down to my phone so I can read what I'm typing. 'Because I REALLY want to kiss you right now.'

Saeran lowers his head to nuzzle my neck. I'm thankful that we're sitting behind Seven, since he can't see us, and this time he has the radio on in the car, listening to his own music in his own little world. That way, he can't hear my breathing become more shallow because of his brother's actions.

He rests his head on my shoulder and turns it so he can still see his phone and type. His hair tickles my neck. It's SO soft.

'Capital letters, huh? Sounds like the situation is desperate.'

I laugh with a closed mouth. 'It's approaching said desperation pretty quickly.'

Saeran turns his head back into my neck. "Well, we can't have that, can we?" He mumbles against my neck, earning a small shudder from me.
