You Can't Leave Me

Tyler's P.O.V

The police quickly ran over. He sent the other officer outside to signal the help ambulance crews to come up. My heart was pounding so hard I thought for sure it was gonna explode any minute now.  I can't lose my wife. This is not happening again. I almost lost her once and I be damned if I'm going to sitting beside another hospital bed while she's fighting for her life. 

Once I saw that the doctor's where doing everything they could to save my wife, I went outside and let out every piece of breakfast I had that morning. To even think that my wife and baby won't make it, makes me sick to the stomach. My wife is my world and I'd do anything to be able to bring her home well again. I feel a hand on my shoulder and I jump. It was one of the paramedics asking if I was well enough to ride in the back with my wife or if I would be following. 

I heard everything he was saying to me but I couldn't respond. Everything started to get blurring and the world starting spinning. The paramedics grabbed me before I fell on the concrete. What was happening to me?

**Paramedics at the hospital**

This is Lauren Holmes, she's suffering from lose of blood and head trauma. She's 5 months pregnant and was kicked. Her best friend, Melanie,  told us this information while she's in another room being seen. Lauren's husband is here too and she may ask for him if she comes through but you cannot answer any questions about him yet. He was so worried about her he had a heart attack and went into a coma. His wife was unconscious so she doesn't know yet. He doesn't know that the hospital is trying to save his wife because we weren't aware of who to save in such a horrific incident. I hope they both make it. 

* The Next Day** 

Tyler's P.O.V. 

I wake up in the hospital and the first thing I think about is Lauren. I don't even care what happened to me or why I'm here. I just need to know that my baby and my wife is okay. I press the button on the bed remote to call the nurse in the room. She quickly comes in and says "Good, you're okay." 

I must have had a strange look on my face because she said you had a heart attack and went into a coma. Well damn, I didn't know what happened to me. How long have I been out, where're my wife? Is she okay? 

"Well Mr. Holmes... the doctor began. Your wife is on some medications right now and we're giving her blood since she lost so much from the beating and the birth... But the baby." Her voice trailed off and tears filled my eyes. "What about the baby?" I said barely above a whisper. Your baby is in ICU and is on a ventilator. Since she's so early, your baby is only 2 lbs. We're feeding him through IV and trying to help him get to the point where he can breathe on his own. Most parents would tell us to pull the plug so their baby wouldn't have to suffer but your wife insisted we do everything we could to save the baby. My heart couldn't take it anymore. The same pain I'd felt back at the house before I fell out came back and my body went completely numb and I blacked out again. 

Doctor*

Oh no, this isn't good. TYLER! Come on, speak to me buddy. He didn't respond. I called for help and the whole floor of nurses rushed in. The other doctors asked what happened and I explained how we were having a conversation and then he flat lined. I thought to myself We had to revive him for his wife and kids. "YOU CANNOT DIE ON ME TYLER" I said to him. Your kids and wife are waiting for you, they need you Tyler, I whispered in his ear. The doctor gave him a defibrillation shot in thoughts to revive him after calling clear. His machine begin pumping at a normal speed but what we have to deal with now is worse than the two heart attacks he's had... Now he has amnesia? This isn't good at all.
