13- Realising something

"Avery!" Harry said happily as I walked in to the library. It had been 2 weeks since I last saw them.

"What happen to you?" Ron asked as I walked into the common room where the golden trio were sitting

I explained to them that I had pack streak and I had to be isolated.

"So what is Pack streak?" Harry asked confused.

"Hermione, you know what to do," Ron told Hermione who smacked his head.

"You know Ronald, I don't know EVERY BLOODY THING!" I laughed at the two for them. "Well, now that Ron here know that I have no idea what Pack Streak is, please explain it Avery,"

"Pack Streak, is what Lones get if they have been involved with, like the other night, one of them saw me and they all started to attack me. They can get into my dreams and thoughts which makes me a very vulnerable target. I scratched some of the poor bastards though," I laughed eating some of the pumpkin pastry that I sneaked in.

"What do packs look like?" Ron asked me.

"They transform into Wolves-"

"So their animaguses?" Harry asked

"No, they ARE Werewolves, but they look like beautiful creatures, while on the other hand, I look like a distressed monkey,"

The three of them laughed at my little remark. "Well, I'm going to bed, hopefully the Wolfsbane will help," I said getting up from the chair and walking to my room. When opened the door, I saw Dragon sitting on my bed. I twitched his head around and happily tooted.

"Hey Dragon," I smiled as he flew onto my shoulder with two letters in his beck. "For me?" I asked as the owl rubbed his head against my cheek and hooted. I opened the first letter which had Dad's handwriting on it.

Dear Avery

When I heard you had Pack Streak, I wanted to see you, but your mother wouldn't allow it. You know how she is. I have a couple things to tell you.

1. About the DMFA. You can't go to anymore meetings. Lamburent, being a werewolf himself, and I discussed that the packs would trace you when your out of Hogwarts which is a risk that I refuse you to do.

2. The war with the lone. Next time I see you, I'll tell you about.

I hope you are getting the Streak out of your system. I pray each night for your well being. When you get this letter, write back

I folded the letter and placed it on my bed. I then ripped the other one open and stood in shock.

WE ARE GOING TO WIN, AND IF YOU TRY TO DESTROY OUR WAR.....WE WILL KILL YOU

I looked at the bottom of the page where there was a paw print of a wolf's. I stood for a minute and decided to take a trip to Dumbledore's office. I walked down the stairs and out of the common room, still studying the letter until a voice snapped at me.

"Avery?"

I jumped at the sound of my name and saw Ginny and Terri standing there. "You okay?"

I explained to the pair of them about what happened two weeks ago and the letter. "Do you want us to go with you?" Terri asked.

I shook my head. "I think I should go alone,"

"Oh and Ave," Ginny said stopping me in my tracks. I looked back at her and smiled. "Ezra been looking for you," she smirked before walking the other way. I laughed at the two of them. The both of them reckon that Ezra Dixington, like me. I rolled my eyes at the thought and continued.

"When did they sent you this?" Dumbledore asked as I handed him the letter.

"I have no idea," I simply told him.

"How about we talk about that night?" He suggested. I nodded and took a seat. "Did you see anyone,"

I remembered the lady in the blue robes. "Yes!" I said happily. "There was a woman who looked like she was in her fifties. I think she works for the ministry,"

"How do you know that?"

"I just have a feeling in my gut,"

"I have a book here with the people that has and do work at the ministry. Maybe if you have a look, you could tell who it is?"

"THATS HER!" I said shocked looking at the women I saw transform. "Sarah Samson," I said reading her name.

"At least I remember the woman. She was in Slytherin, not a good witch but not a horrible witch either,"

Slytherin........school...... "SCHOOL!" I said out loud. Dumbledore lifted his head with a confused expression.

"Ms Lupin, I know that this place is a school-"

"Not that! What about the other schools, are there any werewolves in Beauxbatons or Drumstrings? Why didn't I think of this before?!" I asked astonished.

"I'll ask the headmasters in private. Well just keep this between us and your parents until we find out more and for the time being, you must go back to your tower,"

I nodded and ran out of the room. I just realised that I may be one step closer to this thing.
