I was inspired once more, fellow poets! :)
Please enjoy, and comment your thoughts. <3
Can I trust this affection you plead?
Like sweet water that moistens my tongue, and consumes me.
I'm yours, wholly, but how do I know if you're pure?
These words you repeat to me don't always seem to undoubt the cure.If loves grows old, it becomes cold.
It may fade away, like summer dew.
Let loose, or unattended, handsome love no more.Your words you've said to others before.
What makes me so different than the ones in your past?
Do you even want this to last?Thunder clouds roaring,
My tears that rain down are pouring,
Choking me into nothing.
Can't decipher these faded words unspoken, that are crushing.A tender man with strides that sing.
A song hypnotizing me with every breath I taste.
You and me we made a pack.
But obstacles keep finding their way back. They wedge into our grace, your hands covered in dirt with blood.
Hidden, you fear that I saw what you didn't mean.
You tell me this isn't what it seems, and I try to believe.
Another lingers to the side, you're blind to see, and she took you by surprise. You don't feel a thing, but I won't let it go.
She locked onto your touch, when in your soul I'm supposed to be yours.
Faded, your heart, do you lay it close mine heart?
My virtue long gone, don't leave or break it apart.I'm faded to believe, this love that will soon to be
Maybe a cursing memory or crowning King and Queen.
