Mystery (Villanelle)

Nothing's new under the sun.
I can't see what the moon is hiding.
Your mystery I have begun.

Shadow eyes shield your love.
Shaken by these earthquakes.
Nothing's new under the sun.

Craters of shame, you run.
Trapped in venomous agony.
Your mystery I have begun.

Silence that follows, stars that spun.
I brought you light, from every place.
Nothing's new under the sun.

Forbidden combine like the moon and sun.
Frantically I search.
Your mystery I have begun.

My presence you shun.
My life and love, all yours.
Nothing's new under the sun.
Your mystery I have begun.
