River And Sea

I am the river.
You'll be the sea.

Slipping passed trees.
I ski on mountains.

You soak me up.
I drain from my fountains.

*

I am the river.
You'll be the sea.

How I serve you.
Fresh to salty.

Lightning on droplets.
Too clean is faulty.

*

I am the river.
You'll be the sea.

Just a whipping glance.
But it shakes through me.

Hello with waves.
Crying waterfalls I bring.

*

I am the river.
You'll be the sea.

Too shallow compared to you.
Though my love runs endlessly.

Your storms and quakes shudder.
My craving inflates relentlessly.

*

I am the river.
You'll be the sea.

I create you
So you can remake me.

This critical cycle.
Truly meant to be.

*

I am the river.
You'll be the sea.

I drop down a cheek.
Straight into a puddle.

So you build your armor.
My body you huddle.

*

I was the river.
You are the sea.

You took my soul.
And left me with ease.

Bare, yet I stare.
Your life I'm meant to please.

Happy 50th post!! Don't you just love poems with more than one meaning!?
