Stirring Emotions

I see you struggle, bit by bit
Another fall, you take the hit.
So far away, yet I can still feel the rip.

Tearing your skin away.
You make everything seem okay.
But I'm tired of watching you just lay.

Let me fix your wounds.
I can piece your heart
I'll knit that broken soul.
Make it all whole.

Not alone, so long as I'm alive.
I'll hold you close, just let me know.
But please don't leave me down below.
No, not again, my last breath I'll show.

You helped rid me of my demons.
Let me return thy favor, and cut away your grievance.

Screaming in pain.
I need you too, but all in vain.
And will wait for you no matter how tight the chain.

Minutes, hours, days, months, or years.
Saying "I love you" may be too grave for your sensitive ears.

But do I love you? That word be so strong.
Close I maybe, but you're so far beyond.

Is it impossible?
Yes, it may seem.
But clinging to your tender hand, my eyes start to beam.

This is too much, the fear of losing sight.
Will this feeling stirring inside me ever seem right?

Don't say you feel the same, because you've lost your way.
Or that you want to use me just to forget your grey.
Don't mess with my heart to just make me sway.
Only if it's real are you allowed to say.

Say that you care for me.
Tell me I'm yours.
A dream I wish could come true.
Forever, would make my heart soar.

I found this in my poetry collection and realized this isn't posted here, so I decided today's the day to let this be free! Thank you all for reading!! :)
