Chapter eighteen: his summer fling

Being officers of CAT, we went to Batangas for an outing. And of course, Kris and I were together in this trip. Being junior officers we had to follow instructions from our seniors. We decided to sleep on the floor and let the seniors take the bed. Kris was the only male junior officer who came to this trip. Because Kris and I are close, they decided that we sleep side by side since the other girls were not comfortable at the thought of sleeping next to Kris. Kris made me his pillow and I made him my blanket because Heechul took our pillows and blanket.

I was wearing a ring that my aunt gave me. Kris suddenly takes my hand pulls the ring off. I was about to doze off when he did that. I didn’t fight him at first. After a few minutes, Kris starts shaking me.

“hey, wake up”

“what?” I asked irritated

“did you get your ring”

“I thought it was with you”

“I returned it.”

I suddenly stood up and went to the sink because Kris took my ring off when I was brushing my teeth

“will the two of you shut the fuck up! People are trying to sleep!” Heechul shouted

“sorry.” I whispered

Kris suddenly lifts his hand up.

“looking for this?” the ring was on his finger

I went to him and smacked him on the back

“I hate you”

“no, you don’t” and chuckled

“yes, I do.”

“okay. Let’s do a deal” he says

“what deal?”

“the seniors are planning to watch a horror film tomorrow night”

“and?”

“if you scream. I’ll get a kiss. And not just a simple kiss, I want a deep kiss.” He smirked

“if I don’t scream. You’ll buy me ice cream”

“deal.”

We then decided to go to sleep. I awakened because of the cold. I was about to snuggle near Kris when I noticed that he was holding my hand. I smiled. He can be so sweet at times. He suddenly opened his eyes and kissed my forehead.

“hey”

“hey”

We both smiled at each other. I then proceeded to snuggling beside him.

During the day we went to a local market to buy ingredients for lunch. Kris was left behind because he was busy playing games. We bought a tub of ice cream and chips for the movie late that night.

It was already 9 in the evening when they decided that we start watching. The movie was about a haunted hospital. Okay, I admit. I’m a scaredy cat. I’m afraid watching horror films. Kris was already smirking when the film started at the middle part of the movie everything was quiet then there was a sudden loud bang. I screamed my heart out and even punched Kris on the shoulder. He started laughing.

“I win. I’ll get my kiss tomorrow.” He whispered to my ear

“shut up” and we continued watching the film.

Our commandant brought us to a beach. Kris and I immediately ran to the sea. The view was so pretty. Kris suddenly bag hugs me. I laughed. Kris and I play around. We built sand castles and ran around the coast line.

We were swimming around when Kris suddenly holds my hand and stops me from swimming. He holds on to my waist and says

“when I say dive. dive”

“okay”

“dive” and I did

I suddenly felt Kris’ lips on mine. I got surprised that I swam up to the surface.

“why the hell did you come up to the surface?”

“I got surprised!”

He suddenly kissed me.

We suddenly hear the other officers teasing us. I turned red.
