Hi, everyone. I know, I lied, I'm sorry. I know that the previous authors note posted around a year ago said I'll post soon, and I know I haven't. I'm just terrible at getting things out. Anyway... I hope you enjoy this chapter and please let me know if there are any inconsistencies in my story for I haven't looked at it in quite a while.
Enjoy! And I apologise in advance for the typos. I'm writing this on my phone.

THIRD PERSON
The whole throne room was dead silent, that even a fly would disrupt the stagnant air. Percy stood tall and unafraid in the centre of the room and stared down the ruler of the gods. Thunder rumbles and lightning flashed, though Percy stood true.
"You dare show yourself here--?" Zeus starts but before getting any further he is cut off.
"Yes I dare, of course, I dare. I have done nothing wrong and I am sick of all of you accusing me of doing things I have never done! I am loyal to the end, and for you to believe that I am actually capable of betrayal, well that is beyond me.
I have hidden and have been broken. I have been driven out and left for dead. I have been pulled back together piece by piece, by man-hating women which should want nothing to do with me. And if this isn't reason enough, then remember this. I turned down immortality, why on earth would I want more power?"

Percy's speech kept the silence lingering and the crowds staring. You could feel the tension building.
Artemis sat on her throne and stared down at her guardian, marvelling. She had at the least expected some yelling or violence, rather than the finesse with which Percy was handling this. This just made her even more proud. Zoe had found herself a keeper.

Annabeth, who had thus far stayed quiet, could no longer keep her mouth shut.
"How can you all even think of accepting this drivel?! This is the man that you believe betrayed us all. How can you consider his view? You should be listening to me!"
Some of the less mentally acute listened and started nodding their heads in agreement.
In little over a second, the silence that had once reigned was now taken over by a calamity of shouting and screaming. Disagreements were thrown across the room and insults shot right back.
Hestia sat by the fire and watched as the chaos expanded and escalated. Her foot tapped rhythmically on the floor in a sense of impatience. She was fed up with the constant conflict which was cycling through the hall.
"ENOUGH" She shouted and with a strong stomp of her foot, all the sacred fires lining the room produced tunnels of Flame reaching the ceiling. The noise halted and every head turned towards the little goddess standing in anger, with arms crossed, by the hearth.
"Stop arguing, we can't get anything done otherwise. Who do you think you all are? Children? You are gods! Have some self-respect. "

She stalked closer to the rest of them and grew to match their height.

"This man is my champion,    and if you could all behave yourselves for long enough you'd realize that every single word that he had said tonight is true. You a are all gods,  and should know we'll enough when to listen and whether or not they are telling the truth" she admonished. The gods looked chagrined and honestly like little children. "and if that's not enough for you to believe what he says,  then thin 10km about this. As he is my champion anything you say against him, is against me. Do you really want to cross me? The oldest of the Olympians?"
She left the question hanging in the air and everyone truly seemed to be listening.
Percy at that moment realised that he had the best patron he could have asked for,  Hestia was absoulutley brilliant.
They go this entire conversation, Poseidon's reaction were truly interesting. I'm the beginning he looked proud, his son Xander had caught the evil son that had betrayed his people. Then the more that Percy spoke,  and the more the council argued, the more he realised that something was wrong. It was as of a dog was lifted from his mind and all thought was suddenly clearer and more presice. This however brought about may questions for the sea god. Why did he forget Percy? Why was he so angry? But the worst question settled in Poseidon's stomach like a lead anchor.

Why did he think Xander was his son?
Would you look at that a chapter! And it's actually been longer than a year. Now I am just terrible and it actually took me 7 months to write this chapter but a new chapter will come before the end of the year. I have the next chapter all planned out. Hoped you enjoyed... And sorry for those who waited.

Please don't maim me...
