Chapter XVI

Sorry for the extremely long wait, I loved all the ideas you had given me and I promise I'll use as many as possible but for some reason I just couldn't write this story. But here is the next chapter, and I will try to update more from now on since I don't really have an excuse not to be updating. In another note, here are the hunters' names:

Percy P.O.V.
The last week, since I disposed of Xander, has been better. The only downside is that Annabeth has been released from the infirmary, and has been glaring at me ever since. The look in her eyes looked as if she was about to kill me. Though, I shrugged it off as just my paranoia playing tricks on me.
Annabeth stalked over to me and came right up to my face.
"You are going to pay for what you did!" she hissed, before grabbing me by the scruff of the neck and leading me straight into the forest.
I tried to fight back but to no avail. Damn this girl is strong!

She led me further and further into the forest, way away from everyone. I heard rustling in the bushes nearby and my eyes widened when I saw Annabeth's gang (Yes, she had a gang) climb out from the undergrowth.

"Ah! So here is the little puppy!" one of them sneered. I flinched, and that just caused more laughter.

"Aww, is little puppy scared? Does he want to run off to his mistress?" They all laughed.

"What do you think you are doing?" I growled at them and got the satisfaction of a few of them actually looking scared.

"You are going to pay for humiliating us!" Annabeth screeched at me. "BECAUSE OF YOU MY BOYFRIEND IS STILL IN A COMA!" she shouted at my face. Damn this girl has a loud voice.

Before I knew it, my body was covered in think celestial bronze chains, which even I couldn't break out of. They were made for capturing gods (I'm flattered) but right now that was just a nuisance.

"What do you think you are doing?" I growled at them, seething with anger.

"Why I'm just going to pay you back for all the trouble you have caused me," she replied and took out her dagger. She slowly came closer and closer, before I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my stomach. That no good daughter of Athena had stabbed me in the stomach! My head started to get dizzy as I could feel a whole lot of blood leaving my body. Then the rest of her gang, along with herself came over and started kicking me and punching me until I felt black and blue. I collapsed on the ground and I could only faintly hear them leaving, laughing among themselves. And with that, I passed into a world of black.

Zoe P.O.V.

Where is he? I have been looking for Percy all day but it seems he has vanished, and it is making me nervous. I know he would never leave without telling anyone so I assume he was in trouble or something went terribly wrong. And I wasn't the only one who was worried. The whole seemed restless because of his absence. We were all gathered in our cabin to see if anyone had any ideas.

"So, are you sure that no one has seen him? You have asked around haven't you?" Asked a worried Artemis. All the hunters shook their heads and I looked down sadly. After a few moments of silence, I composed myself and a look of determination crossed over my face.

"We need to find him," I said and everyone looked at me.

"We'll search the camp and the forest, then the sea. He wouldn't leave without telling us. I just know that" I told them, and I saw everyone nod in approval. I looked at Artemis and noticed she had an expression on her face as if she knew something none of us did, but I just placed it in the back of my head, for now, I'll work I out later.

"Phoebe, Thalia, and Amy look around camp, see if you can pick up any trace. Tiana, Laura, Clara, and Grace, you are coming to look in the forest with me. Hannah, Charlie, and Evalina look close to the water. He might have left via the lake or ocean. Everyone else keep looking everywhere else you can think of," I instructed everyone and they followed my exact orders.

Tiana, Laura, Clara, Grace, and I ran into the forest and started searching. We searched up the trees, in all the holes and hours passed and we still found nothing.

We had wandered right into the deepest bit of the forest, that barely anyone went, for there were no paths traced into the ground from repeated footsteps.

"Zoe, over here, I think I found him!" I heard Laura shout shakily from a few meters ahead of us. We all hurried over and wondered what would make Laura scared like that. Dread filled my stomach just with that thought.

When he all got closer I heard gasps for from everyone, including me. Laura was frozen in her spot, tears running down her face, and Tiana and Clara were holding onto each other for comfort. Grace, being a daughter of Apollo rushed over to see what condition he was in.

I rushed next to, tears forming in my eyes as I looked from at the broken form of the wolf that I had fallen for.

"He looks pretty bad, there is a stab wound in his stomach along with a few broken ribs and bruises and cuts all over his body," she told me. Now, everyone, had tears flowing freely.

"We need to get him back to camp, so we can treat him properly," I said, and motion for Grace and Tiana to help me carry him. Tiana snapped out of her stupor a came over to help. "Laura and Clara, run back to camp and gather the hunters and tell them what has happened.

"Of course Zoe, right away," Clara replied and along with Laura, wiped her tears, and together they sprinted into the forest.

We slowly picked Percy up, and he let out a whimper. My heart clenched at the noise. He should not be making those noise. He didn't deserve this. And with that, we carried him back to the camp. Whoever did this to him will pay severely.
