I woke up slowly and groaned. My whole body hurt, and as I tried to get up someone immediately pushed me back down.
"Don't try to get up, it will just make it worse," a soothing voice said. Then all my memories came rushing back to me. I quickly closed my eyes to reorganise my thoughts. Once I had accomplished my task, sort of, I opened them again I saw Artemis standing over me, looking very worried. My back was killing me so I just lay there. After a few minutes, I asked,
"What will I do now?" She looked at me for a few more minutes, as if she was thinking the same thing.
"With my blessing, I have let you have full control over your wolf self. Instead of fully becoming a wolf. it will be just your body that will change leaving your mind intact. You will be able to stay in your wolf form for as long as you want, without turning back. I have also taken the curse of silver away from you so that won't be able to kill you. What would you say if we introduced to our new guardian as a wolf? Then you don't have to worry about the huntresses," Artemis said. It sounded like a good idea so I nodded. She gave me a little bit more ambrosia and told me to rest. My tent was enchanted so no one could enter and find out my identity. Then I rolled back to sleep.
----Time Skip----
When I woke up Artemis was sitting in my tent once again.
"Do you ever leave my side?" I joked. She scowled at me then said
"Are you ready to meet the huntresses?"
Even though I nodded, I was really nervous. I morphed into my wolf form and padded out of the tent, behind Artemis. We walked together up to the fire, which was situated in the middle of the campsite. While walking I noticed how big I really was. At the moment Artemis was in her 12-year-old body and I was as tall as her shoulder. -So Perseus, we can't call you that as a wolf because the hunters will be able to guess who you are- I jumped at the sound of her voice and she smiled. - I am speaking to you through mind-messaging. It makes it easy for us to talk undetected.-

-Oh. So what will you call me, and won't the trident be obvious?- she thought about it for a moment.
-I gave you my blessing to be the guardian of the hunt, so you are immortal. I could say you are a few thousand years old and were only blesses by Poseidon, not his son. The name? Well, that will be a surprise- I knew that was her final word so I just kept walking. We had finally reached the camp middle and all the hunters were sitting around the campfire, again. As soon as they saw me, they notched an arrow in their hunters' bows. Artemis told them to stand down. They reluctantly did and looked at me with a look of hatred and curiosity. Well, here goes nothing...

ARTEMIS P.O.V.
Percy stood next to me, and I could see the nervousness in his eyes. He was hoping the hunt wouldn't shoot him down. I chuckled inwardly.
"This is your new guardian. He will be treated with respect. His name is Alpha. He is several thousand years old and was blessed by Poseidon. You are not to hurt him in any way."
Cries of outrage were heard throughout the camp. I sighed, knowing that it would take a lot for them to respect Perseus. "You have to treat him with respect---" I was cut short with a roar behind me. Before even I could react with my godly reflexes, Perseus was mauling the monsters. There was a giant right there. In 20 minutes, still in his wolf form, Perseus defeated the giant, without the help of a god, which for your information, should have been impossible. The huntresses were gawking at him, while he just padded over to the fire and collapsed from exhaustion. He curled up in a ball and in no time he was snoring. After seeing that show, I knew the hunters would at least treat him fairly, and without the usual viciousness. He was such a loyal male, even after all the tragedy in his life. I now fully realised that he would do anything for us, no matter how small.
