PERCY P.O.V.
I awoke the next morning to a bright light shining in my face. Dazed, I slowly opened my eyes to see the sun, shining on a girl's silver circlet. I almost jumped out of my skin when I realised I must have fallen asleep with Zoe in the woods.
I slowly backed up, trying not to wake her but failing miserably. She groaned and her eyelids flickered open. I looked at her nervously and curiously. Nervously, because I didn't want to die at the hands of a hunter and curiously because I knew that I had fallen asleep before her and I wasn't moved.
"Zoe? What happened last night?" I asked her, wanting to know.
"You were tired and you fell asleep and I didn't want to move you since you looked peaceful and really needed to sleep," she mumbled and my eyes widened.
"Thank You, Zoe. That's the first decent sleep I have had in months. The rest were plagued full of Annabeth,"
She growled at my statement and I knew right then and there that she despised her. I was glad that I had another person to stand with me. Despite what people think, I can actually read people's emotions well and I could tell by many things that Zoe was ready to rip Annabeth's head off.
We slowly walked back to the camp and talked about our experiences in the last few years and I felt great, being able to lift all my problems off my shoulders because telling another person freed me.
Annabeth waltzed up to me and the weight of the world climb back up on my shoulders.
"Well if it isn't the dog," she taunted. After releasing all my feelings I needed to do something about this block that told me I shouldn't hurt Annabeth, even after what she did to me. I growled and was about to reply with something really witty but was beaten to it by an arrow protruding out of her leg. I looked over at Zoe but I just saw her standing there whistling as if she didn't touch her bow, but I knew better.
"Be careful with what you say to him, or I will personally escort you to Hades the hard way!" Zoe snapped at her. Annabeth finally noticed Zoe standing there and here eyes eye opened wide.
"What are you doing here Zoe?" she stuttered.
"I came back, that's what now leave my sight, I can't bear to even look at you," she spat and inwardly I smirked.
We walked further to the Artemis cabin and Zoe opened the door and offered me through. When I walked passed her I nodded in thanks before turning to the hunters who were all still in bed.
"Percy? what are you doing here?" Thalia questioned.
"I wanted to re-introduce you to someone who has come back from the dead, Zoe Nightshade!" I exclaimed to everyone.
Mouths fell open as Zoe fully walked into the cabin before she was attacked by hundreds of hugs. I stood in the corner watching and chuckling at the sight. That was before one of the hunters pulled me into the group hug as well. I just loved my new family.
PHOEBE P.O.V.
Oh, my Gods! Zoe is back! Yay! I couldn't believe it. She was back, in the flesh and by the looks of it completely healthy.
We listened to Zoe's story and we were all curious to find out why a monster was chasing her. In the end, we gave up and all of us including Percy went to breakfast.
Walking into the dining pavilion we got several weird looks but we just ignored them all and sat at our table. Percy lay down at my feet, under the table and I couldn't help but laugh at the dogish characteristics he was showing.
I piled a plate full of waffles, bacon, and eggs and placed them under the table so Percy could eat them. He glanced gratefully at me and gave me a nod of acknowledgment. I hoped that Percy would be able to live through another day here but I really hoped that all would go alright and that we would win the new war and my friends would survive.
