"Where are we going again?" Keith asked Shiro, who was driving. The raven-haired boy was smushed between Pidge and Hunk, with Allura sitting in shotgun.
"A parrttyy," Pidge groaned for the 1,000th time. "And Lance will meet us there," Shiro said so the ravenette wouldn't ask again. Keith nodded as Shiro pulled into a restaurant looking place, parking in the parking lot.
The group filed out, and Keith noticed that Pidge and hunk had mischevious smirks on their faces. He shrugged it off as they went inside. The interior was like a restaurant but had a dancing floor in the middle.
Around the dance floor were tables and booths, then the bar farther off. It played good, foreign music that Lance would probably love.
"How is this a party?" The indigo-eyed boy asked, tilting his head as they waited for a host to take them to a table. "It's different than a restaurant, and we didn't want to bore you by saying that," Hunk smiled down at the boy.
Finally, a host with orange hair and an orange mustache walked up and led them to a booth close to the dance floor. It was off the ground, having stairs leading up to the place.
And the floor was a black circle, and on the edges were lights all around it. If Keith had longer arms, he could probably touch it. The group sat down, and the guy who's name was Coran took their drink orders.
"This place is really pretty," Allura smiled, as she was sitting on the inner side of the booth, and Shiro on the outside. "Yea," the boy with the yellow bandana replied as the others nodded. "Every hour on the hour, people come up here and dance," Pidge said excitedly, smirking.
"Cool, what time is it?" Shiro asked, using the word cool like he was trying to be caught up with the times. Allura and Keith checked their phones and said at the same time: "5:57."
Pidge laughed at their synchronization, and Hunk, as well as Shiro, joined in. The raven-haired boy found it creepier and blushed. To move on from that, he sighed. "Then someone will be dancing soon."
"I wonder what that person will dance to," Pidge chimed, nudging Keith. The drinks came, and the group hadn't even looked over the menus. After they all had glanced at the menus and took their orders, the waiter went off again.
By then, someone's voice on the intercom boomed that it was time for the 6 PM dancer. as the indigo-eyed boy watched the person walk up onto the stage, his heart stopped. Of course, it was Lance. Wearing a blue, shimmery shirt that barely draped as he walked. And a blue, holographic headdress accompanied his light-brown hair.
The ravenette would never admit aloud, but he found Lance very attractive then. It only took the blue-eyed boy a few seconds to spot his friends, and he gave a small wave before stopping in the center of the stage.
"Good afternoon, everyone" Lance's voice boomed as he waved. "Imma do something a little different than you're used to. It's a known dance, but rare to see a guy doing it." The group cheered, except for Keith, who was still taken aback by lance's appearance.
But with that, the music started, and Lance got ready to dance. The belly dance, which Keith found out it was, started slowly at first but then drums mingled in with the marimbas, and Lance was flawlessly dancing to the beat. It was as if the brunette had control over the beat and drums with his hips.
The dance was phenomenal, his waist and torso moving in such ways Keith couldn't process. The blue-eyed boy was very flexible, and he knew how to capture the audience's attention. The indigo-eyed boy watched as Lance brought pieces of his shirt up and twirled around to create a swirl of blue that looked magical.
The raven-haired boy wondered how Lance was in bed, before realizing he thought that and quickly shook his head, a blushing mess. Keith had had strong feelings for the blue-eyed boy but hadn't admitted it to himself nor the others.
The ravenette loved the ways Lance smiled, the way he laughed, the way he talked... And now, the way he danced. And so many more things Keith found attractive In Lance, the list never ended for him.
The others already knew that a certain ravenette had a crush on Lance, and the same brunette had a crush on Keith. Yet to each other, they had no idea.
Keith saw that Lance had finished his dance, but didn't even hear what he said afterward. The raven-haired boy just watched him leave and come to the group's table.
"Hey guys, how'd I do?" He laughed, sitting down with a light blush on his face. "Y-You did great!" Keith smiled, blushing hard because of his sudden unexpected outburst.
"Yeah, it was really good," Shiro agreed, patting Lance on the back. "You're definitely gifted, Lance!" Allura chimed, a wide and warm smile on her face. Pidge and Hunk congratulated Lance before he stood back up. "Lemme go change, I'll be back. Can you order me some water?" The brunette asked as Shiro nodded.
He went off into the back, and both Pidge and Hunk had to go to the restroom. The two practically did everything together, but that just gave Keith more space to breathe.
While the two were out, their food came, as did Lance. "I'm gonna sit in Pidge's spot. She won't mind," he said, sitting next to the indigo-eyed boy. Lance just casually moved Pidge's food and drink over to Shiro, "there."
Keith was blushing like mad, listening to Lance talk about how long he spent learning all of the choreography. When Pidge and Hunk came back, Pidge only smiled and sat down on next to Shiro.
"You two are the gayest couple ever," she snickered, looking at the two boys. "WE'RE NOT A COUPLE!" They both shouted, faces flushing as the rest of the group laughed.
