It was Lance and Keith's anniversary, and the lanky boy didn't forget to remind his boyfriend. Two years they had been together. On April 28th was when the two had confessed. Keith and Lance had been happy ever since. So, as the two sat on lance's blue couch, it was only normal to exchange gifts. The older boy had been so excited to give his boyfriend a new motorcycle helmet, which was black. But Lance had bought a decal of a red lion zooming across the side.
After all, Keith's spirit animal was a lion, and red was also his favorite color. The Cuban boy had also bought a biker jacket with the same red lion across the back but as a patch. Keith, on the other hand, had bought Lance some very nice wine and something else... The lanky boy smiled a loving smile to Keith as he watched the pale boy open the gift. Since Keith had never experienced gift-giving or receiving anything, Lance made sure to spoil the younger boy.
The blue-eyed boy watched calmly as Keith pulled the top of the box, "oh wow! It's wrapping paper!" Lance laughed, knowing his lover was only joking, "it's your favorite!" "Yea yea, I'll keep this forever," the raven-haired boy chuckled as he threw the paper behind his back. Once Keith revealed a red, black and white jacket, he was thrilled. "Oh my gods this is the coolest thing I've ever seen!!" The short boy jumped from the couch, not even noticing the helmet as he tried on the jacket.
The blue-eyed boy relished in Keith's large smile. He loved how the pale boy would get so stoked over presents like he was a five-year-old. It made Lance's heart jump. "It's a perfect fit! Wow wow wow!! Thank you so much~~!!" Keith hugged Lance close to him, the pale boy kissing the Cuban boy's cheek. "You're welcome. It has a cool design on the back, too," the bilingual boy told his love. Keith let go of Lance and ripped the jacket off of him to see the back. (metaphorically ripped)
"This is even better than the front!... Did you get this professionally made?" Keith asked as his eyes fitted over the jacket. "Custom," the blue-eyed boy verified. The raven-haired boy hugged his love again, "thank you so so so much..." Lance hugged the pale boy back, "you're so so so welcome." They released the hug and kissed each other softly before Keith sat back down. The younger boy noticed that a red and black helmet had tagged along in the box. "No wwaaaayyyyy," Keith dragged out his words as he got the helmet out. "This... Matches the jacket! Oh, Lance, we have to take these for a spin! You can use my old helmet, 'cause it's still in pretty good shape and fits you," the indigo-eyed boy rambled.
"Keith, see if the helmet fits first," the light-brown haired boy smiled over at his lover, placing a hand on his own gift that he had opened earlier. Lance felt like Keith thought he had overdone him, or one-uped him... but Keith had other things in mind, so the raven-haired boy thought the two were even. Keith tried on the helmet, and it fit perfectly, "this is the best thing I've ever gotten!" "What about me?" The blue-eyed boy smirked teasingly. "The second best thing I've gotten," the pale boy corrected himself. "Anyway, let's go."

The two boys lived in such mountainous regions, so as Keith sped through the night Lance was looking at the large rocks around the road. The blue-eyed boy saw the stars shining at him in awe, the mountains looking over the road as if they'll collapse any second. And as there weren't any lights on that road, everything looks much more ominous.
Lance felt as if he was in some magical place, like some other dimension. Of course, he had ridden with Keith many times before, but always when the sun was out. Now, as the dark sky was over the two boys, the older boy thought the ride was much more magical. Keith, on the other hand, was used to riding at any time in day or night. But this night, Keith had a different feeling about it. The raven-haired boy smirked every time he turned because he knew Lance would hold on tighter.
And as they sped on a straight road, Lance's arms would relax around Keith's waist. The whole scene was nice to Keith, and as he pulled up to an edge, he didn't want it to end. Keith stopped the bike on some grass and got the key out of the ignition. The two hopped off, and the raven-haired boy laughed at Lance. "What?" The blue-eyed boy asked, looking at the pale biker. "Just... The helmet," Keith laughed.
"Look, it was yours too. Why'd you even buy this?" Lance asked his lover. The helmet was a red one but had cat ears on it. "I was 16!" The ravenette replied, taking his helmet off. "Yeah yeah okay," Lance chuckled as he took off the cat helmet. The two put the helmets on the bike and walked over to the small cliff, guarded by a low fence. "This place is pretty beautiful," Lance said, placing his hands on the fence and looking down.
There was a road, and then farther off, the rest of the city. "Yea, I like to go here to think, it's best at night. No one is out on the road, especially in the mountains." The pale boy said as he placed his hand on Lance's. "Mhm," the blue-eyed boy smiled over at Keith, who was looking up at him. "Oh, I forgot to give you your other gift," Keith sighed heavily, blushing. "That's okay, let's at least stay here for a bit longer," the older boy said.
"No, no, I have it in my pocket, it's okay," Keith said as Lance turned his body to look at his lover. The pale boy fished a small black case from his pocket as he got on one knee. "Happy 2nd anniversary, honey," Keith said as he opened the case to show his love a small gold band. "You're the stupidest person ever," Lance sniffed, tears forming in his eyes. "W-What?" Keith looked up at Lance with wide eyes. "You proposed the day we got together. Now there'll be two anniversaries in one day," the Cuban boy smiled down at Keith, his eyes watery. "I-Is that a yes?" The younger boy asked, wondering what Lance was even saying. "You didn't even ask the question, but yes," Lance wiped his eyes as he laughed. "Yes?" Keith asked, scared of what the Cuban boy's answer would be.
"Yes yes of course!" Lance exclaimed as his lover stood to hug him. "You scared me so fucking much, idiot," Keith said as he squeezed the bilingual boy's waist. "Sorry," Lance apologized as he hugged Keith back. After a few minutes, Lance calmed down, and the boys parted. "Thank you," the light-brown haired boy said softly after kissing the indigo-eyed boy's lips. After they parted, Keith got the ring and Lance's hand. The younger boy smiled up at him, "you're welcome."
Keith slipped the gold band onto Lance's ring finger gently. "Good gods, I love you," the lanky boy said, running his free hand through Keith's mullet. "I love you too," the shorter boy replied before they locked their lips again.
