Christmas Day

It's Christmas morning, and I wake up with presents at the foot of my bed. "MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!" Ginny yells jumping on my bed. I decided to stay in Gryffindor Tower for Christmas break. "Merry Christmas. Calm down, and what are you wearing?" I ask looking at her with a sweater. "It's a Weasley jumper, looks like you got one too!" She says getting off the bed and heading downstairs. I roll my eyes and unwrap the sweater Mrs. Weasley sent. It was a white sweater with black stars all over it and the letter S in silver. "It's a little big, but adorable." I say, pairing it with black joggers, and a pair of white winter boots. I open up my present from Draco, white earmuffs with a bracelet and necklace. Then, I open up Harry's gift, cute black and white fluffy mittens. I smile as I put everything on. The rest of my gifts were candy, or books which Hermione gave me. I head downstairs and see everyone waiting for me. "So you decided to sleep here tonight?" Ron says, eating chocolate frogs. "Yeah, I'm going to see Draco later anyway. Plus, it's my first Christmas as a mortal." I say heading towards the portrait hole. "You coming or what?" I ask everyone, who jump and file out. "Hey Star can I talk to you?" Kyle asks. "Umm I-I guess." I say letting everyone get in front of us so we could talk alone. "I'm sorry about what happened on Halloween. It's just that the only one of us who had mastered our powers was Alex, and now that I mastered mine, I can help." He says. I throw my arms around him. "I thought you were mad at me. I thought you just didn't like me anymore." I say holding back tears. "I'm not mad at you. I just couldn't help you yet. Especially since you have so many powers that even we can't help you with." He says. I let go as we enter the Great Hall. There was only one table in the Great Hall, even the teachers were sitting there. "Merry Christmas everyone! Sit. Sit." Dumbledore said motioning us to sit. I see Lucy shoving food into her mouth and sit across from her. "Did you open your presents?" I ask her. "Yeah, thanks for the bucket load of food by the way." She says. "You're welcome. Anyway, how are you and Alex doing." I say, she shrugs. "I mean, he doesn't complain when I steal his food." I laugh. "Yeah, he must really like you. He almost burned my hand once, and I was just asking for food." "Hey Starlight? Ron, Hermione, and I have to go so I'll find you later OK?" Harry says getting up. "That's alright Harry. Have fun! Bye." I say looking over at Draco. "Actually, I have to go too. See you later Lucy!" She salutes me and I leave the Great Hall, catching a glimpse of Draco getting up too. "Lioness, did you like your present?" He asks holding my hand. "Yes I did. I want to go play in the snow." I say looking outside. "OK then, don't let me stop you." "You're not coming?" I ask stopping. "No. I have to send an owl to my dad." He says. "But I'll head out as soon as I'm done OK?" I sigh. "OK." He kisses me on the forehead and leaves. Once I get outside, I start running around like a 5 year old. "Starlight! Heads up!" I turn and, just barely, dodge out of the way of a snowball. "Matt! Don't do that! My powers could've gone ballistic!" I yell, the wind was so bad. "Wait, Matt come over here!" I yell, he runs to me, almost knocking me over. "Sorry, what is it?" "Shh." I say. "Addy? Addy are you here?" I call out. "Star, what are you doing? Addy's not here." He says. The wind dies down and Matt falls to the snowy ground. Addy floats right next to me and I burst out laughing. "Who's not here?" She says. "Addy! How are you here?" He asks, me helping him up. "We're connected remember? I can't come to life, but I can cross over without getting in trouble." She says floating around us. "Hey lioness. Who is that?" Draco calls running to me. "Draco, this Addy. I talk about her all the time remember?" I say, him stopping next to me. "So you're Draco." She says floating around him, examining him. "And you're Addy. Lioness tells me you're like an older sister." He says. "Well, I guess yeah. Star, what about Alex and Lucy?" She asks blowing my hair out of my face. "Thanks. Alex doesn't complain when Lucy steals his food." I say. "Really?! He almost burned your hand and you were just asking!" She exclaims. "I know!" I say. "Wait, he tried to burn your hand?!?!" Draco yells looking around. "First of all, if you're looking for Alex, you're not going to find him. And second, calm down, angels heal fast." I say, his temper calming. I kiss him on the cheek and hold his hand. "Are you calm now?" "Yeah, I'm calm." He says exhaling. "OK well, your mom and dad asked me to tell them how you were so I should go." Addy says. "Oh OK. Bye Addy!" I say. "Bye." And she's gone. "I have to go too. Bye Star." Matt says. "Bye." And he heads inside. "You want to go for a walk?" Draco asks. "Yeah, OK." We walk around the edges of the Forbidden Forest, and head towards the Quidditch pitch. "Are you OK?" He asks stopping. I stop and face Draco. "I'm OK. Just happy I guess, Kyle said he would help me control my powers." I say, eyes turning light blue now that I said it out loud. "That's great! It means you'll be happier!" He says beaming. We walk around, talking about our classes, for an hour. "Star!" I turn around and see Chris running towards me. "Star, it's Alex and Lucy." He says stopping in front of me. "What happened?" I ask holding his wrists. "They're fighting and you know the advantage Alex has." I look at Draco and start running, him and Chris at my heels. "What kind of angel has demon powers!" I hear Lucy yell, and run in that direction. "What kind of mortal is a demon!" Alex yells. "Both of you! Stop!" I yell huffing. "She started it," "It doesn't matter who started it, you should be the bigger person!" I yell. "I'm older than you! You can't tell me to be the bigger person!" He yells back. "You're right! I shouldn't have to tell you at all!" I yell, my eyes turning brown. "Starlight isn't being very star bright is she?" Lucy says. "I-" My eyes turn light green and I look at the two of them. "Why were you two fighting?" I ask. "Because we can." Lucy says crossing her arms. "You know what, I don't even know why I care." I say, eyes turning brown again. "Lioness-" "I need to be alone for awhile." I say cutting him off, walking away. "Yeah that's right, runaway Starlight!" Alex yells. "That's all you know how to do!" I turn around and tackle him to the ground. "Don't talk to me like that! All I've ever done is have your back-" "Lioness, calm down!" Draco yells clutching my elbows, holding me back. "You ungrateful son of a-" I yell but someone cuts me off. "Starlight Lily Potter!" Harry yells. "What in the world are you doing?!?!" I collapse into Harry's arms, face streaming with tears of anger, eyes gray. He wraps his arms around me and I start squirming, trying to make him let go. After about ten minutes, I calm down and start sobbing into his chest. "You're OK now." He says rubbing my arm. "Yeah cry you little-" "OK that's enough!" Draco yells. "What's going on?" Kyle says approaching us. "Lucy and Alex were fighting, so I brought Star to stop them. Then, Alex pissed Star off and she tackled him to the ground." Chris says. "And then, I got her off of him." Draco says. "And then, I calmed her down, ish." Harry finishes, stroking my hair. Kyle walks towards Alex, who punches Kyle in the nose. I hear a crack and try to turn my head, but Harry keeps me from looking. "Don't look." I bury my face in his chest and start singing. "Oh my gosh." Kyle gasps. "What is it?" Harry asks holding my head still. "He's being-" "Controlled." I hear Matt's voice coming from the right. "He needs to cool down." Matt says. "Well, kind of impossible considering I have fire powers." Alex says. "What happened here?" I hear Professor McGonagall yell from my left. "Lucy and Alex were fighting, so I brought Star to calm them down. Then Alex pissed her off and she tackled him to the ground." Chris says. "Then I got her off of him." Draco says. "And then I got here and calmed her down, ish." Harry says. "Well then, what happened to you Mr. Stevens?" Professor McGonagall asks Kyle. "Well, Alex punched me but it's fine." He says. "Well then, Mr. Stevens go up to the hospital wing. Ms. Blood, Mr. Sanchez, to my classroom, now." I hear footsteps clamber up the stairs. "Can I look up now?" I ask once the footsteps cease. "Yeah sorry." I put my head up and wipe my tears, sniffling. "It's time for lunch, we should go." He says. I nod, Draco helping me up. "I feel empty inside." I say trying to walk straight. "He's never spoken to me like that." "Things happen. You heard what Kyle and Matt said, he's being controlled." "I-I guess you're right." I say. After lunch, I walk out to Hagrid's hut, where Harry said he would be. "Hey Sta'light." He says. "Come in, come in." I enter the hut and a huge dog starts barking at me. "Oye Fang! Calm down." Hagrid says. "Tea?" He asks. "Sure." I say sitting down. "You al'ight?" He asks. "Yes I'm fine." I hear a knock on the door. Hagrid gets up and opens the door.
