Is he up to something???

The next morning.....

Colby's POV:

I woke up this morning and I was excited. Today was the day I'd ask Mackenzie's parents for her hand in marriage. I know it sounds so cheesy and old fashioned but I really wanted to do it properly.

What if I proposed and Mackenzie said yes but her parents didn't like the idea?? I didn't want to cause any problems between her and her family.

I looked at the other side of the bed and sighed. I didn't have Mackenzie next to me. I felt kinda lonely without her. I couldn't see her cute face. 

I got up and ready for the day. I quickly ate breakfast until I heard my phone ring. It was a FaceTime request from Mackenzie. 

"Morning babe. How are you this fine morning??"

"I'm good." she chuckled.

"Do you have anything planned today??"

"I don't think so. I'm gonna have to do something to occupy myself. I might just go to the gym today."

"Awwww, I'm not gonna be able to see you workout." I pouted.

"That just sounds weird." 

"It doesn't if it's coming from your boyfriend."

"That is true. Anyways, you're probably gonna be busy today. I'll talk to you tonight. Bye Love."

"Bye."

We blew each other a kiss before hanging up. I put my phone away and smiled as I left my hotel room.

30 minutes later.....

I arrived at the door of Mackenzie's parents' house. I was suddenly really nervous again. Why do I always get nervous when I meet them?? I knocked on the door and waited. Mackenzie's mom opened the door and smiled when she saw me.

"Hi Colby, it's nice to see you."

"It's nice to see you too."

"Come on in."

We both went inside and I saw Mackenzie's dad inside, sitting on the couch.

"Hi Colby. So you said you wanted to talk to us about something." he said as we all sat down.

"Yeah. There was something I wanted to ask regarding Mackenzie."

"What is it?? Is she hurt again?? Or have hurt her?? If you have, I swear to god, I-"

"No, no, no. Nothing has happened to her. I assure you. She absolutely fine. In fact I just talked to her this morning. Trust me, we're very happy together."

"Well then, what was it you wanted to ask us Sweetie??" Mackenzie's mom asked.

"Well, I know that we haven't exactly known each other all that long. You probably don't trust me enough yet with your daughter but she makes me so happy and I really don't think I'll ever find another girl like her. So what I wanted to ask you was for her hand in marriage because I know that I want to spend the rest of my life with her."

Mackenzie's mom and dad looked at each other for a few seconds before looking back at me. Have I blown it?? I probably ruined my chances to be with her. What have I done??

"Well Colby, we've seen how happy you make Mackenzie and we know that you're a good guy as well. And if you really feel that you want to spend the rest of your life with her then we suggest that you go for it." her mom said.

"Really??" I asked kinda shocked. For some reason, I wasn't expecting a response like that so quickly.

"Yeah, we've seen how you both are together. We know how happy you both are but if you think about hurting her, I won't hesitate to beat your ass." her dad said. 

"I promise I won't hurt her. I'll keep her happy." I couldn't stop the smile forming on my face. My dream of marrying Mackenzie was so close to coming true. Now all I need is for Mackenzie to say yes.

Mackenzie's POV:

I groaned as I lay back on my bed. Again, I was bored out of my mind. I finished up in the gym and came back since I had nothing better to do. My phone vibrated so I picked it up, seeing it was a text from Nikki Bella.

Hi, what are you up to?? - Nikki

Nothing really. I'm bored - Me

Me too. Aren't you with Colby?? - Nikki

No, he's doing some NXT thing with Hunter - Me

Are you sure?? Because I saw Hunter this morning - Nikki

Now I was confused. I thought Colby would be with Hunter.

But he told me he was going to do it with Hunter, or maybe I didn't hear him correctly. I trust Colby. I know he wouldn't do anything wrong - Me

Colby is a good guy. Maybe Hunter just left early or something - Nikki

Maybe. I'll talk to you later - Me

Okay, bye - Nikki

I put my phone down, thinking. Is Colby up to something??
