Regrets???

The next day.....

Jon's POV:

"Wait, wait, wait. He said what??" Joe asked as he laughed.

"This random guy at the store was like, 'Hey, you're a babe. Let's go and fuck.' I literally slapped him and left the store." Mackenzie said, making Joe, Colby and I all laugh.

We were all at the mall and sat down at a cafe to get something to eat.

"There are some weird ass people out there." I said as I wiped a tear.

"Tell me about it. I saw this 80 year old man talking to a stuffed Spongebob Squarepants toy." Colby said.

"Spongebob Squarepants is life." Joe said.

"He's my bae." Mackenzie said.

"What am I then??" Colby asked with a pout.

"You're my second bae."

"What??"

"I'm joking. You'll always be the first one. I guess Spongebob can be second but if Sandy Cheeks ends up dating him, she will get it from me." 

I felt my phone vibrate and saw a text from Paige.

"Hi Lunatic."

"Hi. What have you been up to??"

"Nothing. I was bored."

"I would say I'm bored but I'm not."

"What are you doing??"

"I'm in the mall with Joe, Colby and Mackenzie. We're talking about Spongebob. Don't even ask."

"Okay."

"So...I was wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime??"

"You mean like a date??"

"I mean, you can call it a date if you want to."

"I guess I'll be calling it a date then. When were you thinking??"

"Maybe tomorrow."

"Perfect. See you then."

I sighed happily as I put my phone away.

"What's got you so happy??" Joe asked, gaining Colby and Mackenzie's attention.

"Well.....I got a date tomorrow."

"WITH PAIGE!!!" they all yelled, making everyone in the cafe look at us.

"Oh my god." I said as I covered my face in embarrassment.

"Oh, um, sorry everyone." Colby said as everyone went back to what they were doing.

"Yeah, with Paige."

"Awww, you guys are so cute." Mackenzie said.

"I know." I muttered.

One hour later.....

Colby's POV:

I was sitting on the bed, stroking Mackenzie's hair as she slept with her head on my lap. She didn't get much sleep last night. She looked quite worried about something but she wouldn't tell me when I asked her. I was pulled out of my thoughts when there was a knock on the door.

"It's open." I said.

The door opened and it was Joe and Jon.

"Hey." they said as they walked inside.

"Hi."

"She asleep??" Joe asked.

"Yeah, she was pretty tired." I said, still stroking her hair.

"She looked fine at the mall." Jon said.

"I know but she's good at hiding her emotions sometimes." I said. "There's something bothering her. She barely slept last night. When I asked her what was wrong, she wouldn't tell me."

"Maybe she's just stressed out with the wedding stuff. Have you guys started planning yet??" Joe asked.

"No, we haven't talked about it yet." I said.

"What would be stressing her out then??" Jon asked.

"You guys don't think.....she's regretting saying yes, do you??" I asked.

"Okay, you are outta your mind. There's no way she's regretting saying yes. If she wanted to say no, she could have said it." Joe said.

"Yeah but...maybe she just said yes to.....keep me happy. I....I didn't even ask her if she was ready for marriage or not. I didn't make a mistake by proposing too early, did I??"

"No you didn't. You both love each other. I know she doesn't regret it." Jon said.

I looked down at Mackenzie and sighed. I hope I did the right thing.

One hour later.....

Joe and Jon left a few minutes ago. I still had this doubt in the back of my mind that maybe, I'm rushing into things. What if Mackenzie wasn't ready for marriage?? She slowly began to stir and finally woke up.

"Hey." I said as I pecked her lips.

"Hey." she said sleepily.

"You're so cute. I can't wait to get married to you."

I felt her body tense up. Now I definitely knew something was wrong.

"Can I....ask you something??"

"Sure."

"Do you regr-" I was interrupted by Mackenzie's phone. 

She picked it up and looked at it.

"Crap, I forgot." she muttered.

"Everything okay??"

"Yeah, I just told Alexis I'd meet her for coffee and she just told me she's on her way to Starbucks."

She got up and sorted her hair out in the mirror. Am I gonna get the chance to talk to her??

"I'll see you later Love." she said, kissing my lips.

"Okay, love you."

"Love you too." she said as she left.

30 minutes later.....

"Guys, I-I'm scared." I said to Joe and Jon.

"Don't be. She's not regretting her decision." Jon said.

"You just need to sit down with her and talk to her." Joe said.

"I just hope she doesn't leave me."

"Okay, stop. You need to stop saying stuff like this before it actually happens." Jon said.

"But what if it does happen??!! She won't tell me what's wrong. I said to her that I can't wait to marry her and I felt her tense up. She doesn't wanna marry me." I said as I felt tears grow in my eyes.

"Urrr.....there must be an explanation for this." Joe said.

"I....I just don't wanna lose her."
