In the blink of an eye, everything changed. When I saw you it was like a debate going on in my head if it's really worth falling head over heels again. I remembered the times before that, and the state of mind I was in. I saw your chiselled jawline, your tan skin, your freckles, your hazelnut eyes, how you were always singing that one song by T Pain, how you were always making jokes and smiling and laughing like you didn't care what anybody had to say. Your hand on my shoulder as you brought me closer to you, how you were so close that I longed to know what it felt like to embrace you. The warmth of your body against mine.
It's cliche to say this, but everything about you is beautiful. I'm glad I know you.

Things change. Your parents tell you that you'll lose most of your past friends through high school and they're right. You don't think they are, you don't want to believe they are, but they are. I'm trying to have a more positive outlook on life. I'm being happy. Because life isn't about everything that's wrong, life is about what you can do right.

My dream of becoming a writer will not come true. I know this. But my dream of helping others will.

I'm happy.
I feel like my life is finally getting back into order.
Kind of.
