Chapter 38: Something That We’re Not

It's getting stupid cause
I shoulda known but I forgot
That you think we're something that we're not.

“How long does our presentation have to be again?” I asked Simon.

“Ten minutes.”

“We only have enough information for five right now.”

“I can go to the library tomorrow and pick out another book we can use as our second source.”

“Thanks, that’s a good idea.”

I heard a knock at the door and I stood up, “That’s Dylan with the pizza.”

Simon smiled, “Perfect time for a break.”

I opened the door and smiled at Dylan, “Perfect timing.”

He kissed me quickly, “Why? Because you’re hungry?”

“Yup,” I laughed.

“On the table right?”

“Yes please.”

Simon and I both followed Dylan into the kitchen, “How’s the project going?”

“Okay,” I shrugged, “We just need more information.”

“That’s why Maria and I are not meeting until tomorrow. We are getting books today, which reminds me, can I borrow one from your library?”

“Of course,” I smiled. “Simon you can go ahead and grab some pizza Dylan and I will be right back.”

“Okay,” Simon nodded and started helping himself to the pizza.

I pulled Dylan into the library, “You’re going to be nice right?”

“I will, I promise.”

“Good. Now what book do you need?”

“We’re doing option 1 on the teacher’s list.”

“And we’re doing 3. I know which book you need.”

“Good,” he chuckled, “Because I couldn’t remember what it’s called.”

I went to the bookshelf in the corner and took a book from the top shelf. I walked back over to Dylan and handed it to him, “There you go.”
