Josh wonders why the brunette had rushed out of the bookstore so quickly. Josh had wanted to talk to him. Why did he shave his head? Even though Josh had loved the fluff on the boy's head, the shaved look really worked on him too.

"Hey Mel, I'll be right back!" Josh yells as he's tearing off his apron to go find the boy.

"Jo-" Melanie tries to sputter out, but Josh was already out of the store.

The cold air slaps Josh across the face, but the only thing on his mind is the brown-haired boy. His eyes scan around the parking lot, and he sees the boy with eyes and cheeks red pulling out o of the parking lot.

Josh runs toward the car trying to catch up to the boy, but the car was already speeding away from him. Please come back. Josh thinks to himself. Crossing his fingers that this wouldn't be the last time he saw the boy. He was curious about everything about the boy. He wanted to know everything he could. As Josh was walking back into the bookstore, he hit the glass on the door in anger at himself. What could've gone wrong that made the guy want to leave so bad? What caused the tears to run down the boys cheeks?

*A day later*

Josh was working his usual shift. Since he was a senior, he had a ton of off hours. Having a lot of off hours meant more working, and that meant money for his dream drums. His friends consisted of Melanie and Ashley. He never really needed anyone else. He lived in an apartment by himself, because his parents had each died in a car accident a few years back. After the accident, he hopped around on where to live. He lived with Ashley and Melanie, and then his sister Jess for a few months. Finally, he lived by himself and he loved it.

His apartment was right down the street, so he usually walked to work. He worried all last night on if that guy was okay in the bookstore yesterday. The look he gave Josh before he left hurt his heart like never before, and the way he shook his head before opening the door. All night he thought about everything he may have done to hurt the boy's feelings, and eventually he drifted off with the worries still in his mind.

At 4:04 Josh was getting ready to leave, because his shift ended at 4:15, and the brunette boy walked in again. This time he was in a black hat and a yellow hoodie. He looked good, yet still a mess compared to how put together he usually looked. Josh had severe social anxiety, so he couldn't imagine walking up and talking to the boy, so he decided to write a composed note on his coffee.

The brunette walked up to the counter with a look of exhaustion in his eyes.

"Um, can I please get a White Chocolate Mocha?" He said avoiding eye contact.

"Yeah, dude. Can I get a name for that order?" Josh said, knowing that his bookstore never asked for names, there was literally only one customer in here, and it was the brunette.

"T-Tyler." He said with a soft tone.

"Rad," Josh said writing it down on the cup for no particular reason, ecstatic he finally got the boy's name.

Josh made Tyler's drink while watching Tyler work on school stuff in his usual table. One time when he glanced at Tyler, he saw Tyler looking at him too. Tyler quickly averted his eyes to his computer, and Josh smiled at him. It was cute that he was shy like that. The red rushed to Josh's face, and he realized how much of a schoolboy crush he was getting.

Before giving Tyler his drink, Josh wrote on the cup:

I like you, a lot.-xx

And he walked it over to Tyler's table, putting down the cup gently to make sure none of it got close to spilling. He hoped Tyler liked him back. Maybe Tyler didn't even like boys. That would be humiliating for Josh. Josh speed walked away from Tyler's table, and watched from behind the counter to see his reaction. He hid behind the food display, so Tyler hopefully wouldn't see him.

It took two sips for Tyler to realize the writing on his cup. As soon as he saw it, his face flooded red. Josh couldn't tell whether it was from embarrassment or happiness. And then he knew it wad from happiness when Tyler smiled from ear to ear, and acted like he didn't notice.

Josh acted casual after that, just cleaning things behind the counter. Glancing over at Tyler whenever he could. Melanie walked out from the break room and noticed Josh staring at Tyler.

"Ask him out." Melanie violently whispered close to Josh.

"I don't know if he likes me yet."

"He totally does!"

In the middle of this small argument, Tyler closed his laptop, and was ready to leave the bookstore. Josh hadn't even noticed until Tyler glanced at him while he was walking out of the door. The two boys made eye contact, and Josh awkwardly smiled and waved while scratching his neck. Before the door had closed fully, Melanie yelled very obnoxiously,

"GO GETCHA DREAM BOY JOSHUA!"

Josh's face instantly flooded red. I hope he likes me back.

A/N: A short filler for y'all. I just wanted to start slow w/ the secret admirer part, so this was basically the first note. Josh gave Tyler "secretly". Have a good day/night lovelies, toodles!

Also btw -this took like four hours total to write, so hopefully it's good.
I'm cringing at myself ffs.
