“Just look at you!” she commented holding her laugh. “Horrible!”

“I know! Could you quit it Marichan?! You’re not helping.”

“You physically look drained. How long was your sleep?” she giggled patting my shoulders. “Go get some, would yah!”

“Shaddap.” I pouted. I know I look horrible as I only got an hour of sleep.

“You seriously need sleep! I’m guessing, you broke your record of three hours sleep, didn’t you?”

“Yeah.” I agreed with my eyes almost closing on me. I feel too tired.

“Despite that, you somehow seem happy. So I guess it doesn’t really matter even if you’ve got not sleep at all.” Marichan continued chuckling, and to my amusement, I think what she just said fits to what is currently going inside my head. I’m happy, so I don’t really care if I wasn’t able to sleep at all. “So, what happened?”

“Nothing much. I marathon a series last night.” I can’t really tell her that it was all because I was talking to Yuko all night until morning. Well, it is partly true though since we spent the night talking in front of the TV watching episodes of The Walking Dead. And as for me, I didn’t really understand most of the scenes as she was teasing me about what she wants us to do in the near future if you know what I mean. That idiot.

“Oh. That habit of yours again.” Marichan nodded. “Keeping you awake for that long, you seem to really have enjoyed the episodes this time.”

“Got it right!” I winked. “Want a copy? I had it on my portable HDD if you want.”

“Really?!” i just grinned her a reply. “Great! I’ll copy it today and return it tomorrow!”

I slouched my body towards the counter as the tired feeling slowly starts to overwhelm me. “So... how’s it going with you?”

“Oh yeah... I really wanted a talk with you the other day about it but you were so busy so I just let it slide. Are we doing something today?”

I looked around and noticed that everything is already in order. Enough to keep us free for a week; all products has just been restocked, monthly machine  and appliances maintenance has just completed, the counters were just sparkly clean and would only need a wipe to clean and dust off. “I think we’ve got tons of time.” I beamed.

So Marichan and I took a seat and grab the opportunity of having no customers yet to chat. It hasn’t been that long yet but catching up with her is refreshing too. Looks like there’s also a lot going on with her. This is also so that she won’t get to bug me about my life, i guess. I am that secretive, right?

“I am breaking up with him.” she started.

“Eh? What happened?” I asked not out of curiosity but to the logical reason that it should be what I should be saying.

“I just feel like, I am not yet ready to be in a relationship.” like always, she answered truthfully. I envy her. If only our relationship is as normal as hers, then maybe i could too.

“Hnn?” it was out of habit that I tilted my head although I’m not thinking of anything.

“I don’t like the feeling of responsibility... yet.” she continued in a sure tone with a hint of displease over something that I have no clue about.
