The sky was pleasantly clear and sunny...

Tzuyu was on the rooftop of their department's building. Lost in her own thoughts. Taking in the serenity of her surroundings.

"Great view huh?"

"What –" Tzuyu, knowing that voice all too well, impatiently turned around to meet her intruder.

"I asked Chaeyoung where you are and I got nothing else to do that's why I'm here. I know you're gonna ask me these questions so..." Mina said with an impish grin while wiggling her eyebrows.

Tzuyu took a deep breath in as she composed herself. She wasn't going to run away anymore. She thought that it was the right time to properly talk to Mina about everything, about what she wanted. It had been a week since the Japanese girl came into their lives, her life. Mina would always spend her free time with Tzuyu and Chaeyoung, and truth be told, Tzuyu found that Mina wasn't actually as bad as she initially thought she was. Within that short span of time, Tzuyu had already noted how teary-eyed Mina gets everytime the three of them talked about sad stories; how Mina genuinely paid attention to her and Chaeyoung whenever they say something; how Mina patiently waited for them each afternoon just to hangout before going home; how Mina loved dogs as much as she did; how Mina would throw her head back a little everytime she laughed too much; how Mina would stick her tongue out to wet her lips; how Mina's signature gummy smile could turn everybody including her into a complete mush; how Mina's resting bitch face looked attractive AF and how Mina stared at her in a way she couldn't read, but nonetheless sent shivers down her spine. Therefore, Tzuyu concluded that it was almost impossible not to fall for Mina, almost. However, she had always been avoiding Mina whenever Chaeyoung is not around.

"Why do you need me to pretend as your girlfriend?"

Mina was a little surprised by the sudden question, but knowing Tzuyu, the girl had always been brutally frank to her; and somehow, she was relieved that the younger had finally decided to talk.

"To keep people away?" Mina said, sounding unsure of her own answer.

Tzuyu frowned in confusion.

"I know it's a petty reason, but... How can I explain this... Umm..."  Mina put out the tip of her tongue to wet the side of her lips as she pondered on what to say next. Tzuyu didn't fail to notice the action, and she gulped.

"Like umm when you have a lot of fans or admirers and then sometimes, some of them go overboard to the point where you get uncomfortable? So you know...this is my way, our way of setting up a boundary line. It doesn't completely prevent them from invading our privacy, but it lessens. You understand what I'm trying to say, right?" Mina slowly explained.

Tzuyu merely nodded as she tapped a finger on her chin. "So you mean all your past relationships were fake?" Her question seemed to hit something on Mina as she suddenly averted her gaze away from Tzuyu's face.

"Most, but not all." was all Mina could say, not really wanting to elaborate why.

Tzuyu's thoughts flashed back to that time when Chaeyoung told her the story about Mina and Nayeon, and she understood.

"But, why me?"

"THAT. That is the reason why I want you."

Tzuyu furrowed her eyebrows, completely clueless of what Mina was trying to say. "Huh? THAT what?"

"I want someone who doesn't want me. I mean you're not interested in relationships yet, right? And you're not interested in me, right?" Mina asked, slightly tilting her head to the side as she looked expectantly at Tzuyu.
