It's been about a week since Riley has been sick. We needed more and different medicine to help cure the infection. We were still thinking of places to search. Daryl has taken Riley's sickness pretty hard. He won't eat, sleep or anything he just mopes around like a lost puppy. The other day a group went on a search and didn't take him with them which isn't like Daryl not to go. I just figured it was best to leave him alone at times.
"HELP!" I heard a women scream
I looked down toward the hole in the fence a girl was coming through the hole and was grabbed by a walker. I ran down and grabbed a hold of the girl and pulled her backward. I then stepped on the walkers hand and arm. Before I pulled out my knife and stab in the skull making it release it's grip on the girl.
"Thank you so much for saving me." The girl said wrapping her arms around my neck hugging me but I didn't move
"Your welcome." I said still wondering who she was and why she was hugging me
"Oh sorry I'm Emma . I came in with the three new survivors that Machone an Tyreese brought in two days ago." She said
"Oh well I'm Ryan." I said stepping back after se released her grip from my neck. Emma was a medium height girl around the same size as Riley. She had light brown hair with green eyes like emeralds. She was skinny but weak looking she wasn't as fit and tough as Riles. She seemed nice and she was very very pretty.
"Nice to meet you." Emma said smiling at me
"What were you doing?" I asked her
"I was walking around and a walker grabbed me when I walked past this hole." She said
"Oh well c'mon let's go." I said as we turned back toward the prison
"Yeah I think I'm gonna take a nap. Walk me to my cell?" She asked
"Sure...." I said
"Okay." She said "Thanks for walking me in and to my cell. Oh and thanks for saving me." She said kissing me on the cheek once we were inside and standing in front of her cell which was in E.
"Um yeah okay." I said she caught me off guard I walked back to C and into Wilson's cell where he was sleeping. Aw he looks so peaceful. "WAKE UP DIPSHIT!!" I hollered at him making him scream like a little girl and roll off the bed
"Fuck you Ryan." Wilson said rubbing his head
"We gotta talk." I told him
"What about?" He asked
"Emma!" I told him
"Oh you mean that super hot chic that came in a few days ago. Yeah what about her?" He said
"I saved her and she hugged me and kissed me." I said
"Hot damn! You lucky fucker." Wilson said
"No...no!" I said
"What's wrong with her?" He asked
I didn't answer
"She's not Riley...." He said with the ooohh yeah moment
I just looked at him then at the floor
"I'm sorry brother but she's with Daryl and I know you don't wanna hear this but move on and hey Emma's hot." Wilson said putting his hand on my back
"I don't want Emma.......I want Riley...." I said looking at Wilson then at the floor
"I know but it's not gonna happen.... I'm sorry." Wilson said before I stood up and left
"Hey there Ryan." Emmansaid coming up behind me when I was walking toward the roof
"Hey." I said not looking at her
"Where you going?" She asked
"The roof." I said
"Can I come?" She asked again
"I.....I.....guess." I said not wanting her to come but not wanting to hurt her feelings either
"Thanks." She said
We walked up onto the roof and over to the edge. Where I sat down.
"Wow it's a beautiful view." She said sitting down really close to me so close that she was practically on my lap which made me look at her funny.
"Yeah." I said looking back at the sky which turned a pinkish color
"So do you have a family or wife here?" She asked
"Nope" I said
"Girlfriend?" She asked again
"......No" I said sighing and looking at the pavement below us
"Interesting!" She said in a much happier voice "Well you know you could have one. I mean your cute and I'm single. So just because the world ended doesn't mean we can't still be in love." Emma said
"No I..."I was cut off when Emma then shoved her tongue down my throat.
"What are you doin?" I asked pulling away
"C'mon just kiss me." She said
"No!" I said
"And why not!" Emma snapped
"Because....look your pretty and all but I can't." I told her
"Why." She said
"Riley." I mumbled out
"Who the fuck is this Riley whore?" She said
"You ever say anything about her again you will be thrown out to the walkers!" I snapped at her making her cower back in fear from me
"I'm sorry." She said
"You better be." I said sitting back and calming down
"I'll leave."She said standing and walking away and back down the stairs leaving me to sit alone in the impending darkness
