The world was spinning around me, my eyes couldn't focus on anything. My head was pounding and what ever pushed me down still had it's hold on me. My eyes finally focused and, I saw the man had woken up and had a hold on me. But what I didn't see at first was the buck knife that hovered an inch above my skull.

"Can I help you?" I mumbled against his hand, with a little eye roll added in for extra emphasis.

"Have you been bite?" The man asked.

"Clearly." I said shaking my head.

"Don't move don't scream don't say or do anything if I let you up, got it?" He growled.

"K." I mumbled out again.

He slowly lifted his hand from my mouth and stood up. I was right he was about five seven. "How many walkers have you killed?" He asked again.

"To many to count, including the one that almost bit you". I said hurting my thumb over my shoulder. Where the walker's body and dismembered head laid.

He looked to the walker and then back to me. Avoiding saying a thank you or anything. "Got a name?" He asked while putting his knife back in it's case on his belt loop.

"Riley...you?"

"Daryl, here." Daryl said reaching his arm out for me to grab so I could stand.

"Thanks." I said dusting the leaves off my jeans.

"Do you have a camp anywhere?" Daryl asked man he was full of questions.

"No, I travel a lot sorry. Do you?" I told him adjusting my crossbow and sword on my back, and fixing my pistol and knife on my belt.

"I don't remember everything is a big blur right now. And you sure carry a lot of weaponry with you." Daryl said looking over me.

"Yeah but you can never be to safe now a days." I responded.

"Well we better get moving." Daryl said.

"We?" I asked. He just looked at me making me sigh. "Fine follow me I have a truck up ahead on the main road." I said leading the way.

Daryl followed behind me and it felt like he was studying my every move it was kinda of scary. I didn't know if he would do anything to me or not. As we walked through the woods we didn't see many walkers which was a good thing. It sucks when you come across a herd of them. All shambling together in some unknown direction following a noise.

We finally reached the truck and tossed our weapons into the back seat. Daryl climbed into the passenger seat and I got into the driver's.

"So do you know of a place where we could hold up for now?" Daryl asked?

"Mmm about the only thing round here are some farms. We could check them out." I said relaxing into the seat.

"Worth a shot." He told me as I turned up the road to take us in the direction of the closest farm.

We drove for about a half hour before we reached the farm. And to our surprise there were people there not walkers, people. Something I haven't seen in awhile. We pulled into the drive way leading to the farm house and we parked the truck under a tree. I grabbed my sword from the back and climbed out of the truck my hands up. Daryl did the same before we closed our doors.

"Daryl?" I heard a voice call.

"Rick?" Daryl asked the voice.

"What happened to you?" The man named Rick asked.

"You tell me." Daryl said retorted.

"After the herd passed us on the highway. You took off after Sophia. We lost you both in the woods. We went searching for you guys and Carl was shot, by a man named Otis. He told us to find Hershel, who then took care of Carl and saved his life. Otis was killed doing so and Shane hurt his ankle while retrieving the needed equipment. We've been here a few days been out scouting for you and the girl everyday." Rick said.
