We had been not even halfway through the first Alien movie when Mack
started to continuously interrupt the movie. Christopher and I were
sharing popcorn, it tipped almost every jump scare. I loved these
movies, but they still scared the heck out of me. Every once in a
while, Chris would wrap a reassuring arm around me until I started
chowing down on popcorn without worry."Why do they think anything from space is evil?!" Mack shouted at the
TV before slamming her tentacles on the ground in anger."Because it makes a plot for entertainment." Jeremy said for probably
the twelfth time."Shut up!" I yelled so I could pay attention again.
As the movie kept going, I could feel myself start to slip into
sleep. I hadn't slept since the day before, but that wasn't sleep, it
was unconsciousness. As my hand slipped out of the crunchy junk food
bowl, I let myself lay down and sleep. This was the kind of peace I
needed. My friends not in danger, almost like a happy little family.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was slightly awoken by the sense of movement. Without opening my
eyes, I could tell I was being carried. We took a left, and I was
placed on a bed. My bed. Afraid I would disturb whoever held me, I
kept my eyes closed. They put my soft blanket over me, and before
leaving, kissed my forehead.
I waited until the door closed to let myself blush. I knew for a fact
it wasn't Mack. And I was pretty sure Jeremy didn't understand the
concept of kissing someone. Christopher was left, and it wasn't hard
to figure out. I thought about how when I laid down on the couch
before, I unintentionally put my head on his lap. It was pure instinct
to do that. I didn't think anything of doing that before. I hoped I
didn't bother him with it...but if I did, would he kiss me on the
forehead?
Ugh, this was so confusing. When I thought about Chris though, I did
notice a change in my stomach. It was lighter, and I felt it almost
hard to speak. Naturally, I was very sociable, talking was a strong
suit of mine. But with Christopher, it was awkward, like we both
didn't know what to say because we were afraid of offending each
other. Normally I wouldn't worry about that, but...I liked him too
much. As I thought about the kiss, I drifted off to sleep once more.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The fresh smell of burning pancakes filled my room. Denying the
awakening disturbance, I rolled over and wrapped my blanket tighter
around me. I threw my face into my fluffy pillow and tried to ignore
it. I wasn't a morning person, in fact getting up was my last favorite
thing to do.Out of the blue, I heard Mack screeching, "HOW DO YOU SET AN EMPTY
OBJECT ON FIRE WITHOUT FIRE?!""It has occurred to me that this substance is highly flammable...amd I
do not know how to cook.""CLEARLY YOU MORON!"
Ugh. I was going to have to get up. I listened in more just to hear
water running and splashing."What the heck are you two trying to do?!" Chris shouted.
"This idiot thought it was a good idea to try and make you two humans
breakfast!""I admit it wasn't very planned out. Considering I was not made to be
a household android."I definitely had to check it out, but I didn't want to. I grudgingly
crawled out of bed and set myself on my wheelchair and I rolled to the
kitchen."Please don't set my house on fire." I rubbed my eyes.
"That will not happen." Jeremy replied as I yawned, "Why is it your
mouth opens to speak but you do not speak?""It's called a yawn. We do it when we're tired." Chris commented.
"I see..."
"Well at least you're starting to understand" I reached into the
fridge and pulled out an apple instead of trying to eat whatever they
failed to make. "Want one?" I gestured to Christopher. He nodded, and I tossed one his way. He gratefully took it and took a bite.
"Oh my God how do you buy apples this good?" His mouth was half full.
I shrugged, "I don't go shopping. That was always my mom's job."
"That arises a problem." Jeremy interrupted. "What will you do when
your supply has run out?""It's almost out right now." I snipped sarcastically.

We had decided to drop by the shopping plaza nearby. Let's just say
it was a pretty bad idea. Mack was uncomfortably hiding her tentacles
underneath a sweatshirt I lent her, and would not stop complaining
about it. She and Jeremy got into a fight INSIDE the store. And a cop
car wasn't well interpreted by the drug dealers hiding in alleyways
nearby."Well that wasn't nearly as successful as I planned." Chris sighed,
exasperated by the two inhuman enemies."I apologize for problems that arose." Jeremy shot a glare at Mack.
That was a new thing, I'd never seen him do that before."If you weren't such an ignorant android there'd be no problems." Mack snapped.
"This is clearly not my fault." His head twitched...maybe it was some
glitch or something."Yeah, right." She crossed her arms.
"I am not the one igniting duels."
"You're starting them by being here!"
"I never asked to be made incorrectly, but my design faults have
nothing to do with your stubbornness." His voice was rising, this was
definitely a sign of emotion, we were just not at the right place for
him to discover anger.Chris backed up to stand next to me, his face showed off he really
didn't want to be stuck in the middle of this."You're just a sick little protocol android, go run home to the
garbage." Mack hissed."I am not trash." Out of the blue, and for the first time, Jeremy pounced first.
He launched himself onto Mack, catching her by surprise. He threw her
to the ground, trapping her beneath his metal weight. She was trying
to attack with her tentacles, but every time she ripped he ignored it.
When she slashed at his face, he lifted his head away and that was
when I noticed what was wrong."Push me. Push me now. Push me fast. Don't look panicked. Do it now."
I instructed Chris, keeping my voice down for only him to hear."Wait- Why we can't just let them kill each other-"
"I'll explain it later just push me!"
He did as he was told, and we started rushing as far away as
possible. The only time I had seen Jeremy make that face, was when he
killed those police officers and the cars days ago. He was
malfunctioning, and we couldn't stay in the same area when that
happened.
