(Just a notice for the next chapters to come! I have to write on my phone right now ((I broke my ipad)) so there's probably going to be more spelling mistakes for a while. Sorry! Now to the story!)
Jonathan held my tightly in his arms as the elevator headed down to our desired floor. Neither of us spoke, neither of us made eye contact. Yet, despite the lack of communication, he held me tighter than he had before. I could feel in the way he grasped me that he was in some sort of competition with Chris now. He took it as a threat. It made me uneasy, the fact that what I assumed was my boyfriend was competing with my best friend. Or maybe Christopher was my ex-best friend now... I didn't know anymore. What have I done...
The doors slid open, and as we stepped out of the small box, Jeremy and Mack greeted us...by smacking into us."It appears we both had the same idea." Jeremy bluntly stated as he pushed up his glasses.
Since I found out he was a robot, the glasses always confused me. It wasn't like he needed them to see, why was he so careful of keeping them on and clean? The only solution to that question I could come up with, was that it made him feel more human. It was an intriguing thought, so I kept it in the back of my mind as we continued.
"For once, I'm glad to be around this walking piece of trash, there was a guard down here right after the door unlocked, and he attacked us." Mack commented, suprisingly amused.
"It was an...interesting situation to say the least." Jeremy added.
"Well, let's go then. We don't wanna get in another fight." I spoke for the first time after the incident involving Chris. I hoped they wouldn't notice his absence.
"Where is the fedz?" Mack inquired. I was wring about my earlier statement.
"He's taking a small break" Jonathan responded in the blink of an eye. Although I could hear a twinge if annoyance in his voice.
"A break from stress induced by troublesome situations?" Jeremy asked.
"You could say that" I uttered.
Jonathan nodded.
Without another word, we went straight back into the elevator, and to the main floor. I just hoped that we wouldn't run unto issues trying to get out.

My hopes for a peaceful trip weren't answered. Halfway through the elevator trip, we stopped and grabbed my wheelchair. It was more comfortable than being squeezed by Jonathan's jealous frame, but it was unnatural after a while. We got to the lobby.
"Shelby, before we go outside I just have to-" Jonathan started to talk.
"Don't mention it." I had a gut feeling it was going to be terrible news on some sort.
"..know that I really do love you, okay?" I was stunned.
"Okay." Was all I could say. I knew everything was about to go wrong. But deny until you die, right?
Deny until you die...right.
