Sam paced the floor. He knew this was the right thing to do, but the thought of her with Jay made him feel murderous. He knew he had to stop thinking about it. He had to stop thinking about her, for her safety. Yet, he couldn't seem to stop the pictures from entering his mind, of Jay holding her, touching her, kissing her! He raised his fist ready to pretend the wall was Jay's face, but someone clearing their throat behind he made him stop.
"You should really learn to knock," Sam said. He didn't turn around to see who it was. He knew. He knew the person behind him was the whole reason he was back here. He also knew that this person was better to release his anger on than the wall. "I don't like when you intrude."
His hand was still tight in a fist when, she replied, "Oh, Sam, get over yourself. We've work to do."
