Fantastic (Newt Scamander X Reader)

Obscurus

We are all in Newt's case once again, here to put the Demiguise back in it's nest. A smile finds its ways on my lips as the beasts are all excited to see Newt back once again. I go up behind Newt and place my hand on his shoulder, "They're happy to see you. You've really left an impression on them, they love you," he turns around to face me and lets me see his smile.

"Thank you, for letting me hear their voices. I don't think you understand how much it means to me, (Y/n)." His voice was low as it was almost a whisper.

"Do you still have that Obscurus? She speaks too. She speaks very highly of you and everything you've done. Would you like to hear her voice again?" Although his face goes glum at the mention of the girl, he keeps his smile and nods.

He leads me away, leaving Tina, Queenie and Jacob to talk with each other. We make our way through the maze of his case until we reach the obscurus trapped inside a bubble. I take a deep breath and focus in on her voice, which is very bleak and hard to hear. I take both of Newt's hands and let him listen to her voice.

She speaks to him, telling him thank you over and over. He begins to tear up, a hot tear slowing falling down his cheek. I wipe it away and stare up into his eyes. A smile forms on his lips and he whispers a small, "Thank you," and he places his forehead onto mine. I feel heat rise to my cheeks as he puts his hand on my face. He cups my cheeks, "Can I kiss you?"

I was taken aback at the fact that he asked my permission but I loved that he wanted my consent. I nod, and we lean in. I feel his warm lips on mine, and butterflies fly around in my stomach.

We release and a smile forms on my lips. I knew at this moment I had found the man I loved. He helped me meet so many creatures and he was kind and funny. He was just perfect and everything I could ever want. "(Y/n)?"

"Yea?" He brought me out of my funk.

"Thank you. For everything. You've stuck by my side and I've fallen in love with you. Will you travel the world with me?" I look up to him, his eyes showing how nervous he was. I nod, unable to speak for a few seconds.

"Let's save creatures, together," our lips connected once more before we headed of to meet back with the group.

When we get back Queenie starts a conversation by pointing to a picture, "Who is this?"

Newt goes silent. "Ah... No one." He seems sad.

Queenie then reads his mind, which she shouldn't have. Sometimes she needs to understand boundaries but she's still kind and only trying her best. "Leta Lestrange? I've heard of that family--"

"Queenie, stop. Don't push, can't you tell it's upsetting him?" I stayed calm, trying not to start anything with her. She nods, understanding what I mean. She smirks at me, and I understood her smirk as being she knew what Newt and I had just shared.

Suddenly, there's a giant crack of thunder. The thunderbird it upset and telling us to get out, hurry, go! Newt turns around facing the concerned voice, "Danger. He senses danger."
