Day 36
Tom and I are going out to dinner today, to meet up with some people we've been streaming with on Twitch. I'm pretty excited about it. There are 3 other people who are going to be there.
Ryley, better known as Champwan, is a pretty cool dude. He's really into "trolling" which Tom has informed me is a lot like pranking. But not like pranking... I guess trolling is supposed to be more annoying, more than anything else. Ryley only started streaming with us because of his friend Declan, but we all call him Dec. He only got that nickname because of his screen name, 16bitDec. Tom and I always joke around, calling Ryley Dec's bitch.
Finally, there's Anthony, but he prefers to be called Tony Modstep, or just simply Tony. He's a really chill, laid back guy. I'm excited to finally meet these people in real life. Dec and Ryley already knew each other, but we met Tony from a really small website called YouTube. He had a good idea to start posting our streams to that website, and we've all been getting a larger following from that.
I finally feel like I've found a group where I fit in. It's really relieving. And comforting.
I appreciate them.-Jordan Maron
"I'm so hyped. We've video skyped with Dec before, but I'm excited to meet Ryley and Tony!" Tom exclaimed, quickly parking the car.
"Me too, it'll be neat to put a name to a face-"
"Hey, look who it is! The brit and the marshmellow," a redhead smirked, emerging from a small gray car.
"Declan! What's up?" Tom exclaimed.
"Wait, if you're the brit, does that make me the marshmellow?" I asked.
"Yeah, probably," Tom mumbled.
"But... Why?"
"Because you're pale and small," Dec teased, shaking my hand. "It's cool to finally meet up with you guys in person."
"Yeah, it really is-"
"Hey guys!" Ryley called out, emerging from Dec's passenger seat.
"There's Dec's bitch," Tom laughed, playfully hitting Dec's arm. "What, did he give you a brojob on the way here?"
"I wish," Dec chuckled.
"No! N-No, nothing like that happened, Tom, come on dude-" Ryley tried to protest.
"Ayyy, are we making fun of Ryley?" Tony exclaimed, climbing out of his car, someone new following closely behind him.
"Who's this?" Dec asked, gesturing towards the stranger behind Tony.
"This is my brother, Josh," Tony spoke, introducing the new nerd.
"Hey," Josh smiled shyly.
"Hey man," Ryley introduced himself, as we all walked inside together.
Over dinner and a couple of drinks, we discussed starting a new series together. Josh would be our new team member, and I was getting pretty excited over the idea.
"Hey," a tipsy Dec ordered a waiter over to the table. "Heyooo, one more round of drinks please. On me."
"Can do," the scruffy waiter smiled, rushing off to retrieve our order.
The table kept talking, but my thoughts were so clouded I didn't really tune in to much anyone was saying. It wasn't until Tom gently put his hand on my knee under the table, that I started to tune in again.
"You fucker, he would never do that shit!" Tom giggled over the table, arguing with Dec over something from Twitch. I didn't really know what was going on.
All I was focused on was the warm palm that was situated on my thigh, his thumb gently skimming the surface of my shorts.
I could hear the echo of Tucker's voice in my ears, but the mix of the alcohol and the adrenaline helped me drown out his annoying words.
Instead, I centered in on the feelings I was experiencing here and now.
What am I feeling?
Anxiousness, exhilaration, euphoria, happiness, desire...
