"Jordan?"
Tom's nose was bleeding, his eyes already swelling a soft purple hue.
"Jordan, baby? Is that you?"
"Yeah. It's me."
Tom's warm hands wrapped around the back of my head, pulling me into his kiss. Our chests collided together, salty tears slipping down my cheeks as Tom furiously kissed me.
Here I am, with the love of my life, on the linoleum tile of my kitchen floor.
It should be perfect, but it's not.
Because he's bleeding.
Because of me.

Yes, it was.
it wasn't any of us.
Shut the fuck up, Tucker. Look at him.
I pulled away from our kiss, to look at Tom.
His nose was obviously busted, knuckles split and bruised.
Then I looked down. Two perfectly outlined hand prints lined his neck, wrapped around his flesh in dark blue colors.
My fingers lightly grazed across the patterns, my hand perfectly fitting in the imprint.
"I love you-"
"I did this to you."
"Jordan, why would you say something like that?"
"You can't deny it, Tom."
"But I know you wouldn't have done that-"
"Did I physically change?"
He hesistated.
"No, but-"
"Exactly."
"But you mentally changed, so it wasn't you."

"Tom, please-"
"It's okay, Jordan. I love you, I want to be with you. It's just us now-"
"But I hurt you! I strangled you!" I sobbed, cradling his head in my hand.
"Jordan-"
ʲºʳᵈᵃⁿ, ʷʰʸ ᵃʳᵉ ʸºᵘ ᵈº'ⁿᵍ ᵗʰ'ˢ?
"BECAUSE I DON'T WANT HIM TO GET HURT AGAIN BECAUSE OF ME!" I screamed, my body convulsing.
but it wasn't you!
"What if he comes back?" I folded myself into the fetal position, the tile beneath me heating around my sweaty skin.
"W-what if he comes ba-ack?"
"Jordan-" Tom whispered, sitting up, rubbing my back. "Jordan-"
"I love you too, Tom. I love you more than words can explain, I love you to the moon and back, Tom. B-But if this happens again-"
"If! Which it won't-"
"You don't know that!"
Tom remained quiet.
"If it happens again, I won't be able to live with myself. Which is why-"
