Trust my little sis to just faint dramatically not once, but twice! I adored her for setting the scene. Jacob, one again, couldn't revert back into human form quicker - sadly, he forgot that he had ripped his only pair of shorts and pants. Our eyes were left painful as all we could see were his private parts. Teresa just gasped but couldn't take her eyes off of them. Good, old Newt just nudged Jacob and he understood without even showing a hint of embarrassment. Brook just tutted at him and stormed off.
Teresa suddenly placed her hand on my shoulder and whispered softly in my ear, "We need to talk." Clutching her hand, we walked away from all of this drama to find our own peace. What would Teresa want to talk to me about? Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Leah, the weird wolf girl, glaring and Teresa and me; and it bugged me. Walking behind a tree, she blurts out her question. "What do you think is the definition of love?" She looked at me quizzically as though there was a right and wrong answer. I felt proud that a woman like her would want to ask me such a thing.
"It's a big, black hole just waiting for people to fall in and as soon as you are trapped, all you can see is them." She smiled, her eyes sparkling there wondrous colour.
"What would you say if I said that I had fallen into it?"
"I would ask who with."
"And if I asked you how would I tell them, what would you say?" her teeth glittered in the light, mesmerisingly - but I mustn't get sidetracked.
"Show them by kissing or tell them by being straight out." And suddenly, without warning, her lips were slamming into mine. It was warm and sweet, like candy floss. Fireworks whooshed through my head; Teresa, the one I loved, was kissing me!
But my joy was short lived as she pulled hastily away. "There you go. I love you Thomas and I always have and always will."
"And I love you too. Always have and always will." It was the truth and I made sure that she heard the sincerity in my voice.
But we were all of a sudden interrupted by a husky, female voice. "Can I speak with you Thomas?" How the hell did she know my name?! Teresa left us alone, to my disappointment.
"What do you want?" I couldn't help but be rude to her - after all, she had interrupted me and Teresa.
"I heard you talking about love. Sam told me not to listen in, but I can never help it. You seem like a good listener." True, I was. I nodded for her to carry on. Her eyebrows furrowed and she told me her surprising story...
"So let me get his straight. You like Teresa?" That made her angry.
"So, what? You have a thing against bisexuals? Huh?" Storming off, I couldn't help get her words out of my head. She had a crush on Teresa?! Damn! I always thought that Seah was a thing and not just a figment of my slightly messed up imagination! Leah was never, EVER going to get my gal - not while I was around!
