Taylor's POV
"Hey sleepy head." I say as I watch Leah wake up. She had slept in our bed with me and Adam. She smiled and I picked her up and hugged her tight.
The media had been going crazy over pictures they had seen of me and Adam with the 2 year old. Rumours were spreading everywhere.
I got Leah dressed and made her some breakfast. I had booked a doctor's appointment for her today because I was concerned about the wounds on her back. I had managed to give her a shower but she screamed and cried a lot from the pain.
"Are you ready to go to the doctors?" I ask her as she fiddled with the buttons on my coat, sitting on my hip. She nods and I open the door. Adam had gone to the studio today so it was just the two of us.
I notice a few people take out their phones. Lucky there was very little paparazzi in Nashville but others would take pictures on their phones and I'd rather they didn't get one of Leah.
I hop into the car and sit with Leah on my lap.
"You ok baby?" I ask. She nods and curls up on my lap. She was still quiet. I had expected her to open up a bit more by now but she still preferred not to talk much. I brush it off and look out the window. I was looking out but I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings. I was thinking about everything.
The driver lets us know we have reached and I let myself out with Leah in my arms. I thank the driver and pay for the journey along with a generous tip.
We enter the building and walk up to the front desk.
"Good morning, I've got an appointment under the name Swift." I tell the woman sitting at the desk. She types something into her computer and then turns to look at me again.
"Yes, please take a seat in the waiting room. The doctor should be here for you within the next five minutes." She says. She smiled kindly and gestures towards the waiting room. I walk over and take a seat. I then have a look at the magazines which had been out on a coffee table. I was happy to see none of them had any pictures or rumours involving Leah. I hugged her tight but she wriggled free from my grasp. I frowned but didn't think too much of it. Ok, that's a lie. I was only trying to give her a hug? Did she not like me? Just as I was about to panic more over it, a man in a white coat walked in.
"Ms Swift." He said. I stood up and we shaked hands. Leah walked nearby me but was suddenly keeping her distance.
"So do you know of any current problems or is this just a check up?" He asks.
"Actually I was concerned about the wounds in her back. Some of the cuts are pretty deep. I tried showering her last night but it was really painful for her. They also bleed every now and again and it hurts her when I try and clean it up with a damp cloth or tissue." I explain. He nods and asks if he can take a look.
"Come on Leah." I say softly, knowing something was up with her. She shakes her head and looks at the floor.
"Don't you want to make your back better?" She asks. She then turns to face me with tears in her eyes. And then she did something I didn't expect she would do. She turned to the door, to me, back to the door and to me again. Then she turned around and ran out.______________________________________
