You're at a bar...

"Here alone?"
You look beside you to see a man about your age. He has black hair and dark eyes, and his chiseled features make him look a bit intimidating.
"Yeah," you respond, scooting away a bit as he sits on the bar stool beside you.
"What's a pretty girl like you doing here all alone?" he asks, leaning forward.
You lean back uncomfortably and lie, "I'm actually waiting for my date. She is running late." You look at him pointedly, trying to get the message across that you're not interested—and also not interested in guys at all.
"Your boyfriend should know better than to keep you waiting," he tells you, clearly not listening to you.
"My girlfriend," you emphasize the word—despite it not even being true. "is just running a little late." In reality, you're single as a Pringle, but you're not about to let him know that.
"Hey babe!" A female voice exclaims, and you feel someone throw their arms around you from behind. "Sorry to have kept you waiting! Who's your friend?"
The guy looks shocked, and he stands up abruptly.
"I was just leaving," he says before walking away quickly.
"Guys, huh? You okay?" The girl releases you before moving to where the guy was sitting. She smiles at you, her brown eyes shining in the light. She's absolutely gorgeous, and wavy black hair frames her face. "I'm Demi," she extends her hand to you.
You shake it, trying to shake your nerves away while you're at it. "Y/n," you finally manage to say. "Thanks for saving me."
"No worries! Figured you were lying to get him away. We girls have to stick together in places like this, yeah?" she says, waving over the bartender. "Two beers, please. On my tab."
The bartender nods and walks off to get your drinks.
"Yeah. Totally," you reply, giving her a smile.
"Just to clarify, you were lying, right? Like, you don't have a girlfriend?"
"Single as a Pringle," you tell her, thanking the bartender as he hands you your beer. "Thank you for this, too," you say, taking a sip.
"That's a relief. I thought I was making a fool of myself, coming on to you like this," she jokes, drinking her beer.
"Oh please, if I weren't single, I wouldn't be here alone," you assure her, and she laughs.
"Well, how about we come here together next time," she suggests, raising an eyebrow at you.
"Are you suggesting that we go out?"
"That's exactly what I'm suggesting," she replies, her eyes sparkling mischievously. "So, what do you say?"
"Demi, to that, I say absolutely."
