Beach Day

You're at the beach with your girlfriend, Demi...

"It's so hot," you groan, stretching your arms above your head.
"You look hot," she responds, and you look to her. She smirks, and you roll your eyes.
"Shut up."
"I will not," she replies before rooting around in her bag for something.
"What are you doing?" you ask, and she pulls out her phone.
"Smile," she says, and you stick out your tongue as she takes a picture of you.
"Stop it," you laugh, and she moves beside you, lying on her back with her shoulder touching yours.
"Let's take pictures together, then," she replies, raising her phone up above your heads.
You cover your eyes and smile as she takes a few photos.
"God, it's too hot," you groan, sitting up. "Let's get in the water," you say, brushing the sand off your legs.
"Let me take pictures of you," she says, and you roll your eyes playfully.
She gets up, and you walk over to the water before stepping in. The water laps at your ankles, and you sit down in the cool water.
"Look this way," she says, and you look over your shoulder as she takes a few pictures.
"Come join me," you tell her, and she goes back over to your blanket to put her phone away.
You look back toward the water, watching the people swimming and splashing each other. Suddenly, Demi puts both hands on your shoulders, and you shriek in surprise. She bends her knees, leaning against you as you whine.
"Demi!"
"What?" she laughs, releasing you and splashing down beside you. She sits down before throwing her arms around you. She presses her cheek to yours, and you put an arm around her waist.
"Want to go in?" you ask, laughing lightly.
"Mhmm," she responds, and you both get up before moving deeper into the water. She grabs your hand, and you splash her lightly, making her laugh. "Hey!"
She splashes you back, and you start laughing, too. You pull her closer before putting both hands on her shoulders and jumping on her back. She shrieks, and you wrap your legs around her waist.
"Get off me, monkey!" she laughs, trying to shake you off.
"Never!' you laugh, unable to stop laughing.
Suddenly, she leans back, falling into the water with you still on her back. You release her before coming up sputtering. You can hear her laughing, and you brush your hair off your face.
She moves closer before pressing her lips to yours, making you giggle.
"You're so cute," she mumbles, putting her hands on your hips.
"Shut up," you respond, feeling your face flush.
She laughs lightly, biting your bottom lip gently.
"I love you," she says softly.
"I love you, too."
