Their footsteps echoed around the CIA facility- " Division X " and their conversation bounced off its steel walls.
Erik Lehnsherr looked around, and even if he didn't show it - he was impressed that a non-mutant would actually dedicate this facility for them. From what he knew, not everyone was this generous.
The woman Charles had mentioned , Moria, walked quietly beside him. Charles was beside her, engaging in a conversation with another CIA agent.
" This is brilliant !" Charles chuckled, and Raven was with him, smiling just as wide.
What made Erik curious, was Lin Na, who had been very quiet throughout the whole trip - only engaging in a conversation when she was asked. She was wearing a soft smile, her hands behind her back.
They reached another room, filled with jets and aircrafts. There was an unfinished project standing in the middle, and everyone rushed towards it.
" Charles, meet Hank McCoy, one of brightest engineers and scientist here in the CIA."
He gave a curt nod, his square glasses slowly slipping down his nose as he gave a sheepish smile.
Although his smile turned into a wary frown when Charles accidentally pointed out that he's a mutant.
" Oh- sorry, I didn't know," Charles apologized.
Yet somehow- they managed to coax Hank into showing them his ability, and after a moment of hesitation - Hank stepped out of his shoes to reveal hands in place of his feet.
Erik raised a brow, interesting, he thought. He glanced at Lin Na , who clapped her hands together, smiling warmly at him. Hank grew bolder, and did a few tricks on the wings of the plane.
Raven and Charles cheered while others looked at him in fascination.
Yet, Erik's amusement faded when his consciousness told him that it was all a lie. The CIA agents weren't encouraging him, they were examining him.
They were looking at him - at all of the mutants present, as if they were some kind of lab rat. Some kind of experiment Mother Nature blew, some kind of weapon , some kind of freak.
Just like Schmidt.
Erik mentally scoffed, they never learn. All of them are naive to think that non-mutants would accept them as human, all they can do was accept them as either a weapon or a tool.
Erik quietly slipped through the halls, yet , Charles had been reading his mind since the beginning. Lin Na saw the exchange, and she whispered," Should we stop him?"
" Let me handle this one," he went after him, and no one noticed - all too busy with Hank. Lin Na followed after , stopping by to the nearest mirror to make sure that she was invisible.
" I hope you're not going to do something stupid Charles," she muttered, as she ran towards him.

Lin Na could see Charles exit through the doors, yet she decided to turn to her right instead - and go after Erik.
He was in an office, and he was opening drawers and scattering tables. He was looking for a file, and Lin Na already knew whom it was about.
Suddenly, Erik stopped in mid search. Lin Na sucked in a breath, stopping her breathing.
" He knows I'm here," she thought, trying to remain calm to avoid moving too much.
Silence filled the air.
He was right in front of her , and she couldn't tell if he was looking straight too her or right at her. Her body remained rigid , yet she wasn't sure on how much longer can she stay that way. She was running out of breath.
The clock on the wall irritatingly ticked at her.
She bit her lip.
He started to walk closer, and Lin Na stepped aside just in time to avoid his hand as he reached out , and she was relieved to see that he was aiming for the file above the desk - with bold letters that printed : SEBASTIAN SHAW.
He hurriedly exited the room, taking no notice of her. She exhaled, and followed after him.
By the time she was outside, Charles was already taking to Erik. Trying to convince him in staying.
Erik didn't reply, yet he didn't looked all that reluctant to stay. His face was thoughtful.
" Think about it," Charles gave him a tight smile, before making his way back to the door," We can fight fire with fire."
" Mutants against other mutants," Lin Na thought," It's dangerous to do, Charles."
" Funny, I didn't think that you would be the one to play with fire Charles," Erik chuckled,"Don't you agree Miss Lin?"
Erik looked straight at her, and she wondered if her invisibility had faltered- yet she was still in camouflage.
" You were breathing too loud, were you scared?" Erik asked, raising his brow playfully.
He and Charles moved closer to the door, and Lin Na had no choice but to reveal herself.
Erik grinned, eyes pinning hers once more - and it sent shivers down her spine.
" Don't be afraid," he chuckled, his voice deep like velvet;
